also with the side stripe you could put a piece of tape over your nail diagonally and paint it...then its perfect! i do it all the time! i dont trust my natural ability to diagonally paint o.o

I do my zebra nails same as you show, black first then white over the top. I also use black acrylic paint, usually covers in one coat and dries quick.  If you do white first, one coat isn't usually enough and it shadows, then you have to wait for the second to dry! Good job!
