  • Washington was not the first president and was not even in the first 5. do some research and learn about it.

  • James A. Garfield is my favorite :)

  • you forgot the 8 presidents before George Washington. remake your video !

  • This video is wrong there was 8 presidents before George Washington. Don't trust history books, learn things yourself or you'll end up as dumb and blind as they want you to be.

  • @crimberland Because nobody cares about pre-Constitution America... Never knew Hancock was president... Hm...

  • @Neocon

    WOW MAN COME ON.

Obviously the flag wasn't there and there's no one flag that's been through all that, but it's a clever little inspirational piece detailing American history for those who have a sense of poetic lisence.

  • The American flag did not wave at the Alamo. The Mexican flag did "1824". When the Alamo occurred the Anglos there were fighting to restore the Mexican Constitution, the decision to seek Independence from Mexico had not yet occurred.

  • @NeoCon1972 God Bless Texas

  • Back when the presidents actually cared for America and Americans

  • millard filmore was president before franklin pierce and was born january 7 1800.

  • 8 presidents before George Washington. WHY DONT YOU KNOW THEM.

    1) John Hanson 2) Elias Boudinot 3) Thomas Mifflin 4) Richard Henry Lee 5) John Hancock 6) Nathaniel Gorham 7) Arthur St. Clair 8) Cyrus Griffin

Can i ask why the names i have listed above are never spoke of in America even though they are the 8 presidents before George Washington. Yes i said before George. Please dont reply until you have checked them all out.

  • @crimberland yea... i checked it out..ur so full of shit

  • @ThePilotman818 yes..because wiki is the best most of you can do. good luck.

  • @crimberland not before it was "offical" i guess

  • south park funny president joke: butters:oh he is?kill ronald reagan, kill ronald reagan!

  • @blebletheartist Thats not a joke nor is it funny.

  • Thank you ever so much. Awesome tribute!!! God Bless America as we knew it.

  • 90% of our presedint are

    FREE MASSONS!!!

  • im so proud to be american

  • please search

    jfk our last good presedint

im american too, but im disgusted of all the lies the goverment, and secret plans they have with us humans

  • @bcordova1234chivas Because the Bay of Pigs incident isn't a secret plan made by Kennedy.

  • I read and heard that there were 8 president figures before washington

  • me too, Pricne said it in one of his interviews with somebody, I was just checkin

  • my friend thinks that george w.bush made a war everywere

  • I get shivers and goosebumps every time I hear this.

  • Thank you!

  • dude thanks i read all the description i cannot believe there was a war between america and mexico

  • You can't include Lyndon Johnson among "worst ever" consideration

  • Who's the worst president ever?

  • I would say GW Bush, Andrew Johnson, Lyndon Johnson, harding, or as much as I'd hate to say it, Jimmy Carter.

  • No such thing as the worst ever. The Pesidency is much too complex of a job to be reduced to good presidency or bad. For example, George H.W. Bush had success in the first Iraq war, building an international coalition ect. and getting Saddam out of Iraq. His domestic policy was not so successful however high unemployment ect. Would his presidency be viewed as good or bad? Lyndon Johnson had good domestic policies, Civil Rights/War on Poverty but Vietnam is what he is remembered for.

  • out of Kuwait

  • That's a no brainer, George W Bush

  • i once heard that franklin pierce was our first bad president. there was this historian that linked Pierce to Bush Jr.. Bush Jr. mother was Barbra Pierce before she married into the Bush name. She was a DIRECT descendant of our first "bad" president which i find hilarious lol

  • Because Franklin Pierce lost all of his 3 sons when they were young, there is no descendant of President Franklin Pierce today. However, amongst the early residents of colonial New England, Franklin and Babara had a common ancestor, making them distant known cousins. Somehow, George W. inherited his mother's side instead of his father's.

  • pierce wasnt the first bad president but he was probably the first compltetly worthless human being to inherit the office. a drunk and a loser and a northerner with southern loyalties

  • 9 of the first 15 US President's were born in the South (primarily Virginia), and the one's who weren't (most of them) had southern sympathies (James Buchanan being a good example). It is safe to say that the South essentially ran the Office of the President of the United States until Abraham Lincoln was elected (who was born in Kentucky, but didn't receive a single electoral vote in the South during the 1860 election). In fact, he wasn't even on the ballot in some Southern States.

  • very true. in the 7 southern states that left the union first, he wasnt even on any of the ballots. which made the souths complaints of an 'unfair' election even more absurd. its intresting he did get several thousand votes in the 8 border states (kentucky, delaware, maryland, missouri, virginia, tennessee, north carolina, arkansas0. i assume the people who voted him in virginia were in the western part of the state that later broke off frmo virginia

  • James Monroe helped latino America Independence

  • i think john f kennedy is the hottest president:D

  • Yeah he is:D:P

  • Teddy for President!

  • go hayes!

  • I feel so bad for John Adams.

    "Jefferson still lives..!"

  • Don't forget that Cleveland is also the only President to marry while in office and TR is the only President to win the Nobel Peace Prize while in office.

  • Cleveland was a great president.

  • Careful who you tout as great...actions speak louder than words.

Lincoln may have freed the slaves with an nefarious motive---but he freed them. AND DID NOT HESITATE TO IT, NOR DID HE WHINE ABOUT IT UNCONSTITUTIONAL EVEN THOUGH IN THEORY IT WAS AT THE TIME---But that the hard moral question about enslaving your fellow man is a bitch, too.

  • I thought Lincoln's top priority from the start was to restore the Union; whether that meant freeing the slaves or not.

  • Wow, finally---someone gets it...yes, you are correct it was his top priority because slavery was dying enterprise...

  • @AmericanWayne Cleveland? That is interesting, his second term was plagued by a severe economic downtown.

  • Wow! Political commentary at it best---act like educated adults instead of middle schoolers, please. Also, this is an informal setting--grammer does not really count---but is appreciated. Grow up!

  • Thanks for the comment!

    Bruce

  • ayo spiced out calvin coolidge

  • i think there was im not a smart guy at all lol

  • john hansen was the 1st presedent but they tried to hide him, i think its because he was black and there was alot of racism in that time.

  • Learn how to properly insert grammar and spelling and then we'll correspond.

  • Bitch! To scared! Huh? Grammar? I somehow feel sorry for you Jack ass.

  • And of what am I supposedly fearful? Having your sympathy is equivalent to Corky of "Life Goes On" feeling sorry for me because I passed high school.

  • At least I'm not on crack and cocaine unlike you.

  • That's funny. lol.... So, tell my why Lincoln was one of the greatest presidents, if you don't mind. I'm open for some real conversation.

  • But some of the work was from Harry S. Truman. You know.

  • cool

  • The ones that have a socialist tinge to them

    Lincoln, Roosevelt, Wilson, Truman, Kennedy

    are always ranked the highest

  • at :50, James K. Polk, hes on of my favorites! Mr. Manifest Destiny!

  • he led an unprovoked attack on Mexican territories and lied to congress / public about the reason

  • Who?

    Bruce

  • james k. polk

  • I liked that song, good stuff

  • well everyone talking about the best so i'll say the worst. James Buchanan and Richard Nixon.

  • Good pick. For those who don't know...Buchanan was in office just before Lincoln. When Lincoln was coming into office, Buchanan said "If your half as happy coming into this office as I am going out of it, then your one happy man"

    Bruce

  • yup. Did nothing for 4 years while he could have been preventing the Civil War.

  • Lincoln tops them at being the worst president.

  • yeah just replace worst with greatest. What are you talking about?

  • He was a murderous, racist, and greedy warmonger that didn't care about freeing slaves. That was Union propaganda. Lincoln suspended the writ of Habeas Corpus. He put journalists in jail that disagreed with his policies. He was the worst tyrant we've ever seen as president and the office of president has gotten more bloated ever since. The only thing he did was free slaves in the south (no jurisdiction) because the Union was losing and they needed more soldiers.

  • well if what you say is true, which most of it isn't. The north had over 70 % of the population they didn't need soliders. But anyway he didn't do any damage to the country. he helped it greatly. Andrew Jackson was a racist pig but still a great president. Speaking of racist you sound like a dumb prick sayig lincoln was racist and absed his power. Your the believing the crap and propaganda.

  • Then to whom was the Emancipation Proclamation written and what good did it do? Prove that what I say is wrong since you challenge it. You are correct in all you say about Andrew Jackson. He was a racist murderer, too, but he wanted to keep the size and scope of government small though, unlike Dishonest Abe. If calling me a dumb prick is your response then we are probably not on the same intellectual level and this debate is pointless.

  • While what you say is at its face very true...1) I have read several BIOS HE WAS NOT RACISTS---HE DID NOT HOLD SLAVES...2) he did everything else you have said...but you know what it was an emergent situation (he even admitted that several times)where he was keeping a country together at ANY cost. SO WHEN YOU CAN DO BETTER YOU HYPOCRIT--STAND UP!!! Your critique is superficial and uneducated. Learn to think and not parrot...

  • "I will say, then, that I am not, nor have ever been in favor of bringing about in any way the social and political equality of the white and black races... I am in favor of having the superior position assigned to the white race."

    -- Abraham Lincoln

Your rebuttal is a farce. The new Republican party had many members from Communist Europe. Don't you know that the original 13 states survived without Europe taking over? What makes you think the CSA couldn't hold their own? Nice try.

  • By the way---it would not be the first time someone has done something just because everyone else is doing it (namely LEE)...I admire many of his qualities, but I wish that he had shown some backbone to VA...maybe others would have sided with him and VA would not have joined the SOUTH...but we will never know...because HE CAVED in the name of the SOUTH just because VA went...

  • Brother, I agree with you on so many levels but I still consider Lincoln as a tyrant. As two, apparently, educated people, let's agree to disagree on this matter because I am glad we are still one nation as well. I just don't like the fact that our federal government grew so quickly during the reconstruction.

  • Well, he kept the country together (and I don't care how he had to do it)...and the South from splitting off and ending up as part of Britain, France or some other European power...so quit griping. Or do you like to speak with a British accent?

  • what AMERICANWAYNE forgets to mention is that Lincoln knew that if the South broke away then they (the South) would be easy pickings for England (where slavery was already illegal---opps) and France...or other European powers who would love a foothold in North American. Oh, yea---I would say he was pretty desparate.

  • "There are few, I believe, in this enlightened era who would not agree with me that slavery as an institution is a moral and political evil."

-- General Robert E. Lee, CSA

Also, addressing my critique as superficial and uneducated without knowing anything about my education and calling me a hypocrite (except spelling it wrong) is ad hominem and useless. I went to school for a degree in social studies. You are the one sounding like a shill reading straight from what the system wants you to.

  • WOW---you can't see spin right in front of you---how naive...Lincoln was the one of the first MEDIA BASED PRESIDENTS!!! Plus, he was a politician...THEY LIE...THEY SMOOOZE. He one goal---keeping the country together. I never said that he was a saintly person. I just said that I AM THANKFUL FOR HIS WILLINGNESS TO STAND BETWEEN TWO OPPOSING SIDES AND KEEP US (THE NORTH AND SOUTH) for screwing UTOPIA (or at least an attempt at it). That is a huge contribution. The rest is YAH_YAH....

  • Lincoln and Roosevelt were prob the greatest because they had to steer our country through incredibly difficult periods.

  • GREAT VIDEO!!

  • None were without fault but I'll take Abe,Teddy, and Truman. And my sleeper is Garfield who was going to give 'em hell as a progressive if he hadn't been killed.

    peace

  • Franklin Pierce is my Great Great Great Great Great Great Great Grandfather

  • I'm sorry about that, because that means that you are related to President Numbnuts...My condolences...

  • president worthless drunkard southern sympathizer trash

  • Benjamin Franklin Pierce is my favorite surgeon. ;p

  • Reagan and Lincon was the greatest !

  • i beg to differ george and ike

  • I'd say kennedy and jackson

  • Ike does look better and better doesn't he? He had the guts to speak out against the Military Industrial Complex witch would sink him today.

  • He only did that in his Farewell Address (January 1961); it was never a recurring theme in his presidency.

  • I understand that, however he did say what he did and he was always suspected by the right wing of being soft on communism and he would have been fried if he spoke out earlier. I'm no big fan of Ike just giving credit where it's due.

    peace

  • Washington and Lincoln, hands down, if you consider how important they have been in the history of the presidency and the country as a whole...

  • Hard to argue, but Abe is first.

  • Washington has to be first. He set the precedent to follow, and established the structure of the Presidency from scratch...Abe Lincoldn runs a very close second, because he validated the preciousness of our Union, and in doing so liberated the slaves, taking a huge step towards the happy completion of our American experiment in true liberty and democracy...

  • Well, I love 'ol George and would never want to take anything from him, he was remarkable but the country has never faced a crisis like the civil war and i shudder to think what might have happened had the war began with...gulp...Buchanan or Pierce, or almost anybody else at that time in the office....but Washington and Lincoln were both perfect for the time they had and I will move George to 1B

Thank God for both of them. If anything I think Washington is sometimes underrated, which is crazy.

  • Lincoln and FDR were the two greatest Presidents.

  • Theodore Roosevelt all the way!!!!! BULLY!

  • Lincoln and Theodore Roosevelt are the bamfs!

  • This makes me think how lucky we are to have a man like Ron Paul, finally, running for Presdent.

    God Bless America.

  • If you like this.

Check out Jonathan Coultren "The Presidents".

Or the Anamaniacs song for the Presidents. those are my favorite.

  • Perfect song for this video. Good job.
