Most of the time we use K-16 Flat Fish in Silver/Chartreuse. Replace the original hooks with xxstrong Gamakatsu trebles and hone them even sharper. We also wrap our baits with a sardine filet. Use 16-18" stranded leader (20#) crimped on a three-way swivel with a 6-8" dropper tied to a 2-3 oz ball sinker. Cross-lock swivels with ss ball bearings are used everywhere but the three-way. Wow that's a beautiful fish. My family is planning on going up to red bluff to fish king salmon. I can't wait, hope we get some nice ones.
