  • i love bahrain, from saudi

  • DOWN DOWN HAMAD THE MURDERER and corrupt government.

  • Al-Khalifa government = ANIMALS.

Said on the news today the USA is selling Bahrain $53 million worth of weapons. Nice.

Makes you think how incredibly hard up or callous the US Government really is. A mere $53 mill for suffering and abuse of human rights that Bahraini government does to it's majority there.

Selling arms to regimes like this only enforces the diabolical truth of how low and corrupt the USA are being in Iraq and Afghanistan.

I wipe my arse with the Al-Khalifas !

  • Reform now. Listen to the people!

  • It is not about the Persian Gulf issue,if you go to any old museum(Vatican,Hermitage,Louver) in the world you can look in the maps there and you will find the word Persian Gulf or Gulf Perficus which still mean Persian Gulf .

The point is that Bahrain is a Persian state itself that was detached from the motherland Persia almost half a century ago.So just to remind that we proud Persians do not recognize any independent Bahrain. It's Iran's Bahrain.

  • utopia or anarchy ... anything but NOT A MONARCHY . No one person should have that much power. KILL THE KING !!!

  • And they have 12 seats in the parliment, more than any other political paty. So what do they want? This isn't bubbly fairytale on "Bahrain's rise for democracy!" - Alwefaq wants take over on Bahrain

  • @CreepyLizard actually they have 18 seats , almost half of thr parliament....

  • @CreepyLizard but the parliament has no power really so its irrelevant. all the power remains in the hands of the royals

  • @xerojreffaj And Al-Wefaq are the only political party bitching about it - if not, the political party with most seats and its bitching about it the most. This is my exact point. Al-Wefaq is a power-seeking organization. One that proved itself to be conservative and radical in the past 8 years.

  • @CreepyLizard All political parties are 'power seeking organisations', and as the main opposition, its al-Wefaq's job to 'bitch about it'. The current system in Bahrain means that an undemocratic, unelected family can impose their will on the people with the help of the crazed Saudis. Are you seriously supporting that?

  • @xerojreffaj The question is, are you seriously supporting democracy in a country where 61% of its people voted for Al-Wefaq last year; an opposition party that's responsible for a rally against development in women's rights in 2010 because "they go against Islamic values". The same political party that called for the government to "restrict" women from taking "male jobs" and called the government to "cure homosexuals in schools". (continued next post)

  • @CreepyLizard So essentially you're saying the Bahraini people can't be trusted to vote for the right people so they should remain under a dictatorship. Your constitutional monarchy idea could've worked if they'd responded better to the protests, rather than calling in foreign troops, killing, imprisoning and destroying homes and mosques. Now I don't think the people will accept a system where the royal family maintain power. (continuted next post)

  • @xerojreffaj Esessinally, my people will vote for bigger dictatorship as they have always done under parlimental democracy. Yes. Does this mean they don't deserve domcracy? Ofcourse not - as far as its limited to constitutional democracy unless we want to live under a backward dictatorship as the likes of Saudi and Iran. The foreign troops in Bahrain didn't shoot a single bullet at any protester and there are no evidence non-whatsoever that say so.

  • @xerojreffaj How did the government respond to the protests? There was a bad start - but right afterwards; the crown prince pulled back the troops in surprise to the damages that occured (which mind you, has been a surprise to everyone in Bahrain. This isn't the Bahrain we knew). The troops were pulled out, under the demand of Al-Wefaq, and the people were allowed to protest. Al-Wefaq were called for dialogue. They refused unless political prisoners are released (continued)

  • @xerojreffaj and the government released all political prisoners, later on followed by reforms; providing 20,000 employment oppritunities across the kingdom. A 30 Trillion dollar project by the GCC in Bahrain to solve the problem of bad housing. Sacking of 4 corrupt ministers in the government - all this during a period of 4 weeks, while not a single protester has been shot; meanwhile while the opposition leaders were aiming to expand the protests - take over the streets by (continued)

  • @CreepyLizard I consider America losing influence in the Middle East as a fantastic thing, so if that's a by-product of the Arab spring then that's good news in my opinion. And its patronising to assume that Iran will gain influence if the Shia majority of Bahrain are allowed a free voice. That's what the Bahraini rulers say to scare everyone into supporting them. (continued in next post)

  • @xerojreffaj "when the corruption and nepotism is endemic throughout the whole government." The 4 sacked were in fact major ministers, in a government that isn't as corrupt as you like to assume as far as CorruptionIndex go (6/10) thus the sacking of major minister would make massive changes. Keep in mind that all these reforms and deceleration of further projects to come were made in a period of one month - Call for dialogue. The same month Al-Wefaq hijacked Bahrain wider by the day.

  • @CreepyLizard And if you think that the government has 'released all political prisoners' and not shot a single protester, then you've got your head in the sand. And sacking 4 scapegoats means nothing, when the corruption and nepotism is endemic throughout the whole government. That's sad, because until you made those ludicrous claims you seemed quite reasonable and rational.

  • @xerojreffaj " not shot a single protester, then you've got your head in the sand." Don't put words in my mouth xerojreffaj. If you don't want to bother reading my whole posts then don't even bother replying - in the period of time where the police force and army were pulled out for over a month, yes - not a single protester was shot. However, not many westerners know of this period of time since their media turned a blind eye to it.

  • @xerojreffaj thus I support a constitutional democracy in Bahrain, because our undermocratic family can at least maintain the secualrism that exists in Bahrain today (by arab world standards) - Take a look at the big picture and see what Bahrain would become if it falls under total democracy. Tell me if this really is what you want knowing most Bahraini (Shiite) people are voting for Al-Wefaq while many sunnis are voting for islamists. We'd have our democracy, that's for sure.

  • @CreepyLizard As for Al-Wefaaq, I don't know enough about their policies to comment. if what you say is true, then obviously I disagree generally. But I'm not a Bahraini, so if that's who they vote for in free and fair elections thats up to them.

And anyway from a western standpoint, the fall of the bahraini royals means less power for saudi, and thus less trouble for us. All the problems we have with muslim fundamentalism originate from Saudi-sponsored Wahhabism

  • @xerojreffaj The fall of Bahraini royals mean less power for America. Wahhabism barely plays a role in Bahraini policies since, regardless of Bahrain's location right between Iran and Saudi Arabia; it strives to be secular and open for westerners. The fall of the Bahraini royal family for a fact means more trouble for the west - Bahrain would be an Iran-sponsered state just as it was a "Saudi-sponsored" state and on top of this, it would be an islamist state due to Al-Wefaq.

  • @xerojreffaj and you can just assume what sounds more problemic - A kingdom that's relatively secular that's supported by the west's Saudi ally or a state that's ruled by islamism, supported by Iran. As a Bahraini, I don't want to see my own hometown fall into the hell hole Iraq went through. I wish more westerners would understand how the overthrow-oppositionists feel. (As for reform however, ofcourse we all want them.)

  • That's right dance, dance, dance, my "puppets', DANCE for Geppetto! You have done well for me, muah! ~ Geppetto ( Bilderberg group) ;o)

  • Kingdom of Bahrain end soon and will turn to freedom of bahraini people!

  • @artin74 Bahraini people are already free. Research it. We have liberalism like no other over here. To ones protesting aren't calling for freedom - they are motivated by their Religious Political parties such as Al-Wefaq to call for "an overthrow of the government" due to what? Unemployment - Yet, free health care, free education, no taxes, cheap gas, free housing. A condition they call "poverty" while 90% of the world would dream to have - Even when political prisoners are released, they con-

  • @artin74 even when political prisoners are released, even when torture is removed. They continue protesting and yes - they protest violently. Burning tires. Molotov Cocktails - attacking public cars. They only decided to stop this behavior by the time they realized its going to get international attention. Why do these protesters continue to protest? While many genuinely do for their personal feelings - most are driven to in the name of a "cause" created by their Religious group; Al-Wefaq.

  • @artin74 Which is highly interested in political power, which is the biggest most influencial Islamist party in Bahrain, which gathered 12,000 villagers, same likes that protested, men and women, in a protest against a decision by the government to give women better rights at the court from divorce laws to domestic violence. Al-Wefaq opposed laws suggesting women in working certain jobs because they are "man jobs", and with all their disgusting views - The Government allows them in the parliment

  • @artin74 The government allows them into their parliament due to democracy. Al-Wefaq has 12 seats in the Bahraini parliament and they still recruit young men to protest for more. They are looking for power over Bahrain, no bubbly story about "protesters wanting democracy" here. It's Al-Wefaq, radical religious group, wanting take over on Bahrain

  • And he wouldn't shoot Them.

  • A real king would listen to his People.

  • Shit is going south in Bahrain right now, but my parents both lived there on work contracts for a few years. They loved it, and I loved visiting them. Bahrain is a beautiful place, hopefully when things cool down a bit I can go back and chill out on the beach.

Thanks for being so welcoming and wonderful Bahrain.

    -A Canadian

  • @deadstockk

Shit is going south in Bahrain right now, the police are mowing down democratic protestors with automatic weapons. It's a complete disgrace and I have nothing but contempt for the regime there. I have no desire to visit a country where the people are so brutally oppressed. Rather than hoping things cool down so you can chill on the beach, hope for revolution for the people of Bahrain.

  • US vetoes UN resolution condemning Israeli settlements. This shows how US

is another Israeli occupied territory. All Arab nations have being oppressed and

made to suffer by Israel for many decades. Through their bought and paid

corrupt traitorous Arab leaders Israel was ensured the non opposition by all

Arab states to their stealing of land and the ethic cleansing of the Palestinian

people. The same is going on in all the rest of the nations all hijacked and

    blackmailed by Israel.

  • I AM JESUS

  • I'm sooooooooo buying a villa in Bahrain.

  • I use to live in Bahrain and always felt bad at the way the Shias were treated. This group make up the vast majority of Bahrain at 70/80%. The Sunni rulers citizens live very comfortalbe lives and enjoy the benfits of wealth from oil. They often frequent expensive restaurants, night clubs. The amount they spend on a bottle of good wine in night equates to the monthly salaries of the vast supressed majority.

  • @yamatomonkey Algeria? I think Europeans are the ones that suck Saudi tourist cock in Bahrain for a few dinnars ;) Bahrain's a peaceful country - with some of the lowest crime rates in the world and no availabiltiy of guns whatsoever while in Europe, random shootings occur at anytime - going out at night becomes dangerous at risk of getting mobbed and smuggled and harassed. In Bahrain, I leave the house at 1 AM with my door OPEN. You're living a life of fear honey ;)

  • @CreepyLizard Now eat your words because I think you have locked the door tonight

  • @Saparonia Ever since a "Day of blood" was declared towards Muharraqis, yes ;)

  • i love Bahrain

  • i love bahrain:)

  • i'm turk my best friend is from bahrain ;)

  • Looks very nice. I was wandering, what is life like for expat in Bahrain? I mean, not for male..but for women. The impression we get in europe is that life for a european woman getting a job and beeing respected in the middle east..ist very tough

  • @giuliobuoncore Bahrain was rated as the number 1 friendliest country by Yahoo in 2009 in terms of providing an easy life style to expats. Women in Bahrain are generally respected, and in contrary with many countries around the world, in many cases they are paid more then men employees. :) You may research my claims for more information, hope I see you in Bahrain!

  • @My2009abc fuck u salafi scum, ur country is a shithole full of salafi sandniggas

  • @My2009abc KHALIFA FAMILY SHOULD GO BACK TO KUWAIT WHEREHE BELONG S , 80 PERCENT OF BAHRAINIS ARE IRANAINS AND BAHRAIN WAS ALWAYS PART OF IRAN SINCE 2500 YEARS AGO, ONLY WITH THE HELP OF BRITISH IT GOT SEPRATED BUT NOW IS COMING BACK TO IRAN!

  • @persiangulfonly 1. Alkhalifa originate from Saudi. 2. 70% are Shiite from IRAQ, not Iran, but I'll just assume you made a typo there 3. A poll was made for the people in Bahrain during the Shah days on whether they prefer independence or have loyalty for Iran, 90% voted independence - this would make "coming back to iran" an invasion; Iran has a bad enough image already, why add up to it? 4.CAPS ARE AWESOME OLOLOL

  • Welcome to the kingdom of Bahrain! This country is taking on a new face in the Middle East with new islands that have been recovered and provide and wonderful and beautiful place for expats to consider living and making this country your home away from home.

  • Stupid Shah lost this land

  • Ive been there:)x

  • nice to see a part of the mid'-east where there is no political tensions and violence.

    Good for them :)

  • This is what happen when you sell your ass in the Mid-East, you get no political violence in return. The gulf contains the best ass sellers x

  • @yeee2007 Yea says you..The person who sells the most ass ! Three words for you loser ...GET A LIFE ! Pansy A** M 'fer :)

  • @noah663 Do you understand at least what I ment? There is no need to have violence because you are already friends with the west ;) They got your asses baby !

  • @yeee2007 If your trying to be a smart-ass, at least learn how to spell...Meant**

And I'm dying to know where your from ? So amuse me and be honest alright :)

  • @noah663 I'm from Lebanon my dear - when our region was paying by wars to keep the Arab pride high you were buying “YOUR OWN” petrol from the west to build all this cement buildings and highways. The gulf is just a disgrace for the rest of Arabs…

  • @yeee2007 If you think "wars" instead of economic growth and prosperity keeps the arab pride high..then you are seriously mistaken...This isn't the 18th century where the only way to keep pride high is to wage wars with each other...Nowadays..Being economic stable is the key and the gulf is just that.....Economic stable..Lebanon cos of their so called "wars" will never ever even come close to being as politically and economically stable as the Middle East....and that the biggest disgrace !

  • @noah663 PS : sorry for the typos...

  • I used to live there, it was well cool

  • Thank you so much for providing this info! I will make it useful on reference it on our site! Thanks again

  • Bahrain is the most civilized, modern, educated, cultured and tolerant country of all the Arab countries and especially of Gulf Arab countries.

  • @Mahdavi1990 It was once but now is the country that has shamed itself before the world for killing it's own people in disgusting acts of terror and atrocity.

  • @Mahdavi1990 Tell that to the people of Bahrain in 2011

  • @Mahdavi1990 what about Lebanon ,Kuwait , and Israel ?

  • @496gonfishin theres no israel

  • @legalsomali right it's just made up and put on all world maps right but seriously Lebanon ,Kuwait,Israel, turkey, and the United Arab emirates are just as civilized and tolerant i'm not trying to bash Bahrain it's quite a nice place i'm just saying there are other middle eastern nations that are just as civilized

  • @Mahdavi1990 Not any more.

  • @Mahdavi1990 Not anymore it isn't.

  • The Bahrain Airport Authority staff are very rude.

  • fuck i know, unpolite too

  • looks like a great epicentre where all culture's and religion could get along with each other . IT IS THE WAY FORWARD!!

  • Well..Your not exactly right, if you go into central bahrain, or outside the city theres many racial tension down there, and theres hatred between shi'as and sunni, and many immigrant workers are coming from Asia, to specify from mainly Bangladesh and India, Arabians are owning the Asians at the moment, Asians down there get treated very differently.

  • i was born in bahrain and lived there for only 2 years! lived in both budeiya and al manama, right by the beach in budeiya! miss it there, but have been enjoying my life in the u.s. since 1990!

  • Bahrain is very beautiful country

  • I rode my bike through Isa town and south and all villages, ended up on Shieks beach..now closed (Isa rest well) Bottom of Island closed unless your military. Great spot perhaps a little small.

  • Bahrain was an absolutely wonderful place to live. I found that most everyone was courtious and polite even though i am american. Although, i tried to stay out of the black flag neighborhoods as much as possible. There is much to do there and i even found myself a bahraini girlfriend while i was there. Loved every minute i spent in that beautiful country. Watch the pearl roundabout though, i got stuck in it a couple times.

  • can someone plz tell me how is the weather there in december : shall i bring my coats or not ?
