Kurt Cobain used "paper flower" poppies in Heart Shaped Box music vid, which is Joe Elliott of Def Leppard's birth flower. This is where the pseudonym Poppy Z-Brite who wrote Courtney Love's bio came from. The paper flowers were from the song "Imaginary" which I wrote and performed by Evanescence. When I met Kurt in May '83 he was on roadcrew for Def Leppard's Rock Till You Drop Tour promoting Pyromania. Def Lep had been opening for Billy Squier which ended in Seattle & Oregon in April '83
