This is a composition totally faithful to the great legacy of the "Merseybeat" genre of rock music that gave us The Beatles, Freddie and the Dreamers, The Dave Clark Five, Gerry and the Pacemakers, and bands like that. It is a great song.
OK, why is this song not an acknowledged classic? I first heard it over a year ago on Little Steven's Underground Garage on XM satellite radio and loved it.
@CHANNELJUDGE , I believe as fans of this track we agree. I merely note my surprise that the song, which deserves to be a standard, has not made its way into the standard rock repertoire from sea to shining sea. Perhaps, though, our favorite cult classics are all the more delightful in our eyes for their not having been been overexposed.
