Before digital technology, I made a audio cassette recording of this clip, and turned the tape over (other side of tape touched the play head) so that I could hear it backwards!

It sounded muffled but it worked! Time consuming then, very simple nowadays!

Indeed. I wonder how many times they had to take this scene and how much the actors had to practice it.

@chosebinee Very true. You also have to watch this film over and over again just to get some of the gags that you never knew were there.
