This isn't movie. This is an art.

It brought tears to my eyes especialy the Mozart scene and the ending.

I never saw such a powerful emotion and friendship in any other films along with epic acting of Robbins and Freeman.

The Shawshank Redemption is film-making at it's finest. Inspiring, moving and highly entertaining. Robbins and Freeman are brilliant (as are the rest of the cast). In my opinion, the greatest movie ever made. It's often ranked no. 1 in polls for good reason. If you haven't seen it, you are truly depriving yourself of a deeply human, emotional experience.

The Shawshank Redemption is one of my favorite prison movies (along with Escape from Sobibor and Lock Up) - unique storyline, fantastic acting, brilliant ending. Tim Robbins was special but I loved all the actors

Few movies allow you to grow such an emotional attachment to a character(s) like Shawshank Redemption does. Brooks, I swear that old man was is my own Grandfather when I watch it. The scene where he Brooks takes his life is truly painful for me to watch, I feels chills as I write this.
