Yes..the N96 was a total flop but the N97 isn't THAT bad. It's VERY disappointing but still good. However apparently Nokia is redesigning it's OS completely. The S70 series are soon to come out. Maybe it will be better and maybe not.
My dream is to have these: N95 8GB & N97, Omnia i8910, iPhone 3GS, Blackberry Storm2 9520, HTC HD2 & Hero, Palm Pre, the Nokia N900.

I can't believe the world can hold such idiots.. What does touchscreen have to do with it? It all about preference. I don't mind touchscreen, but I prefer buttons. Buttons are better for gaming and have a solid feel so you know what you're pressing without looking.
Not counting the fact that N95 has a better camera, better GPS, better OS etc etc. On my N95 I have 200+ apps&games that would put the iphone to shame and it doesn't crash. Lets see the iphone do that. Go ahead. I challenge you.

Regarding the Symbian OS I don't know what the options are. Windows Mobile supports only 65K colours. Blackberry and iPhone are closed OS. And iPhone doesn't support multitasking. I don't know about Palm or Google though. Symbian is an open OS, that supports 65 million colours, with multitasking, is stable, and requires minimum RAM to operate.

That may be true, but I've heard from a friend (that knows a lot about phones) that 80% (or 70) of Symbian's programming code is useless. I'm not a Symbian hater. I myself had a 6290 and my father now has a N73 ME and I know a lot about it, but it is too simple.

But my point is that since Symbian is an open OS, many other developers make samll fixes that improve the OS. Symbian isn't impressive out of the box. It's the aftermarket products and hacks and fixes by great developers that make it one of the best. I've had an N73. It doesn't compare with N95 believe me. And I've had an iPhone. Great touchscreen but nothing else
