I have a two year old GSP, called Sirius. He is not only the gentliest dog I have ever seen, he is also a great huntingdog. People with these dogs are very lucky, they show us what true companionship means and are always excited and happy. Many of us should take an example from these animals. Loyalty and true friendship ! Lots of fun with your fourfooted friends !

Our first boy was over 13 when he went. Our next and latest bitch is now nearly 15, has bone cancer but still runs around like a pup when she sees me. Love em to death.

Lovely. I am the proud owner of a GSP that I adopted from our local shelter a few years ago. She had surgery on her ACL last September, and is back to racing around like a pup, despite that fact she is starting to get gray!

There is no better dog. I lost my GSP Luke a little over a year ago and I think about him every day. Whether wanting to sleep with you in the bed or throw a tennis ball for them until your arm falls off the are simply the best...

Have a lot of energy that you can give to your new friend. He or she will want and need it. I own Boxers and GSP and I do not know any two better breeds. Right now the Shorthair is laying on top of the boxer in the windows sunlight.

well.. they usually dont bark much. GSP's are very gentle dogs. They love hunting.. chasing things and one thing i have seen that they love to sleep.

My boy Rufus has been gone for 9 years he was fifteen and a half he was my best mate and I loved him unconditionally and still miss him terribly, they are wonderful dogs to own. Looking at these pictures made me cry now I am thinking shall I have another one.

my family have owned 2 of these dogs best breed ever. my oldest prince (male) past away over 16 months ago of old age at 14  my best mate and we own 1 now that is 2 and a half on christmas eve (taylor) and we have had him since he was 7 and a half weeks old he was from a litter of 12 .

I didn't know a thing about pointers til I adopted mine. I'm not only in love with her, but now with the breed as well (in addition to a few others). Who knew a dog could have such squishy lips?!!!
