@SuperPs2master You probably can only find this game now on like ebay or something. This game was made in like 2006 and it wasn't a block buster kind of game so good luck finding it. But I will say it's a really good game and if you having played a gundam game before this one is definantly good. Granted this is the second one i've ever played on the ps2 but none the less it's good in my opinion. In answer to your question though, yes you'll have to buy it:P

i like this game alot, the gundam vs gundam games today all feel way too fast paced. i especially like how u can do beam clashes in this game. only if they made a gundam game like this one but with all the gundam from universal century, gundam x, gundam wing, and other series included

i just unlocked this, and this thing is a fucking monster. i have never lost with it, and i play on the hardest difficulty. it outperforms the fuck out of all of my other main suits (messesa, gaplant, gundam mk2, etc.)

@BlackStarClique Yeah, I feel the same way. They out did themselves with the camera work in Rengou vs Zaft, but this game is better purely because of the number of options and mobile suits available.

Not rare, look at Gundam Musou(Dynasty Warriors Gundam) It features characters from Turn A, I believe also Victory. Plus #3 is supposed to have Garrod from X in it.

the game gave me ZZ in Kamile UC Good Route, i fought with it the Quebely and Quebely MkII , and man, it's very powerful but it didn't unlocked in arcade mode nor the character been unlocked yet

I wish they'd have made it transformable in the game, since the ZZ does transform.

While it's more powerful, it's less versatile and practical than the Zeta Gundam, as a result.

Of course, that doesn't mean you should choose not to use it for any other particular reason.

i always hated every gundam game that comes to north america...

im still trying to get A.C.E.:2 for ps2 so i can play as the g-gundam thing...kicking and punch out of everything at the speed of light....still i did buy this game thinking it would be good. it was silly and weird at times but this game is the best when it comes to 2 player mode.

@havock9tldwolf ya thats one of the things i was dissapointed in with the inclusion of ZZ they have the other transforming suits . but this game is on e of my favorite gundam games for the ps2 , much better than journey to jaburo and never ending tomorrow, though dynasty warriors gundam is fun i find the VS series better . too bad we wont see and more VS in the US .on a side note my other favorite gundam game is Zeonic Front .

In my opinion, Double Zeta is not as well suited for combat in space as Zeta would be, mainly because of mobility. Otherwise that machine is like a freaking behemoth.

This game looks almost identical to the federation vs zeon game (except for the MS)

The game is pretty much the same. Only real difference is the Awaken system, which lets you choose between Recovery (Survive a fatal attack), Assault (Extra damage), and Evade (which boosts speed).

It also has a timeline campaign mode that's to die for.

When I first played this game, I want to punch out my TV screen because the game don't give you camera angles to compensate for the large size of ZZ, but after a while I just realize, it is just like real combat where you to rely on your feel of where the enemy is. I love the anime ZZ ,so playing Judau and Ple 2 and Haman Kan is great! :D

I check many reviewers and theyt sayy zz was the weakest in the series due to the first half of the show was humorus and kid friendly , but by the second half you get the more serious feel that you get from the other gundam series like lovable supporting character dying.

Your right about that,I couldnt play test is my self about the transforming because My JP version broke in half (My cousin stepped on it the bastard!)

I personally think the Quebely is the most useless unit in the game. it's Funnels are powerful yes,but take forever to charge,your hand MP cannon damage does crap and takes forever to shoot,and the freaking Beam saber does barely any damage.

The Zeong is a close second,only saved by it quick charging head mounted MP Cannom

Yeah It is really easy,I know there are 3 ways to unlock it.

The only differnce between the US and JP versions is the fact that in the US version of Gundam VS. Zeta Gundam,the ZZ Gundam cant transform. The Head mounted High MP Cannon is very hard to connect with,and has pretty short range,but even in arcade mode can pretty much kill every Standard unit it hit.Example was the building,he cliped it at the tip of it's range and it went down quicker than a drunk chick on prom night!

I have the Japanese version and the ZZ gundam can't transform there either. Also even with a full hit with the mega cannon it won't kill a unit in one hit as there's a damage cap, especially in arcade mode.

If you're playing the story mode then you might be right since a lot of the units go down in one or two hits anyway.

Anywho, I say the best gundam out of all that takes skill to master and isn't just some spam machine is probably the Haku one....I can't ever remember the name, but it's the one Char pilots when he is a good guy. Mainly because it can shoot behind itself and has amazing close combat skills.
