He draws an orange sky, draws a sun, invents the bird, and a flower and while drawing he hears the voice from the heart. The child will find the path to grow up but will always keep an enhanted look to everyday fruit and for the roses of love. It is a lovely chant and difficult to tell what it is about.

@seanny8 tout a fait d'accord. Cette artiste trop méconnue et trop tôt disparue '(elle n'avait que 48 ans je crois) avait vraiment beaucoup de talent. Je chante un peu en voix de ténor et cette chanson est faisable dans cette tessiture. J'aimerais beaucoup la travailler et la chanter pour un baptême par exemple. çà me paraitrait tout à fait approprié.

This song is just about as high-brow as Eurovision could get.I could imagine hearing the great Gerard Souzay in this. I've never heard it before. I love the independence of the violin comments early on and the fact it holds true to itself and grows organically which is more being impressive than trying to be impressive .

En 1996, on apprend que la chanteuse a des problèmes de santé. Le 1er août de la même année, à la suite d'une infection pulmonaire, elle meurt à Paris, à l'âge de 55 ans. Elle est inhumée au Cimetière parisien de Bagneux.

1971, rainy day in Gibralter. Small local bar, "Wig & Gown," Parrot, caged on bar, 5 ancient tables with equally ancient chairs plus an antique Juke-box offering mostly long forgotten songs. Except for Edith Piaf's " Non, je ne regrette rien" and the equally wonderful voice of Frida Boccara, "Un jour, Un enfant." The Parrot and I wore out those records and consumed the Scotch that evening. And, I do believe I heard the parrot bid me "Adieu" in perfect French as I went on my way...

C'est pas incroyable, parce qu'elle a gagné. En 1969 il y a eu quatre chansons gagnantes, celles des Pays-Bas, de France, d'Espagne et du Royaume-Uni.

Pour moi les chansons neerlandaise et française sont excellentes, mais j'aime pas l'espagnole et la britannique.

D'autres chansons qui méritaient gagner en 1969 étaient le Portugal et l'Italie.

Curieux hasard, entendue il y a deux jours chantant l'"Enfant aux cymbales", et me remémorant mes jours d'enfance. Chanteuse préférée de ma mère, décédée il y a 2 ans. Il ne s'en fait plus comme Frida.

J'ai eu la chance de voir Frida en spectacle sur le site de Terre des Hommes, à Montréal, en 1971. Inoubliable. Je ne comprends pas comment on peut se pâmer de nos jours pour Dion et 50 autres chanteuses interchangeables qui n'ont pas une once d'originalité. Frida, Jacqueline Dulac, Monique Leyrac, Mouskouri sont uniques. Quelqu'un peut-il me dire quelle est la différence entre Dion et Fabian? Derrière la technique vocale, où est l'émotion?

One of only two Winners who've passed away during the last 53 years. One of the most dramatic moments from ESC - also making history when four countries won in a four-way tie! With a performance like this, how can anyone condemn or criticise the Contest? Still the greatest Show on earth; no violence, no thuggery, and no aggression.
