@switzercraftbullet All the joints were glued and sealed with epoxy. Then, the whole boat was covered with 6oz fiberglass cloth, with extra layers in key areas. Then, 4 or 5 coats of epoxy with pigment for a "gelcoat" finish. Then I painted it with EasyPoxy marine paint on the topsides and bottom paint on the bottom.
@qortin Thank you very much! The total cost for materials was around $3000 spread out over four years. It is extremely difficult to estimate the number of hours I put into it. There were many long nights of designing, long days of labor, and then sometimes months were I could only get in a few hours. I think that if I hadn't been moving locations so much and if I had simplified some of the techniques, it could have been done in 6 months.
@didgeridoo86 Interesting observation but on the contrary, it is quite stable. In fact, people can stand right on the edge of the boat (the gunwale) and it will only heel a few degrees.
absolutely amazing...!!...and humble to boot...!!! no preachy, self-important narrative, just good music and some amazing cross-sectioning worthy of a quality aircraft...!!...you win my vote for best of craft, and best showman
hey dude. this is cool. to watch you build the whole thing by yourself. Where were you when you started it? Did you design it yourself? Good job. Way to stick with it and see it through

@theproudONE92 The secret was lots of bending, clamping, gluing, and then grinding!

I have not built my boat yet so I don't know what I am talking about. But it looks a little to narrow and unstable, Is it?

@robertomcallister Yes, it is my own design. It took me about a month to work out the details.

@gone2bch I started construction in the Virgin Islands, then shipped the boat to California, and finally to North Carolina. Yes, it is my own design.
