they should make end game raid bosses that were purely dispicable, rather than ones that we know and love, like illidan and arthas. they should stick to the idea of raiding old gods and dragons, that way we don't kill off our favorite characters in an epic raid

Only Feenix vanilla wow private server has AQ20 AQ40 same as it was before TBC. Others just fail to replicate it - Feenix is exactly as blizzard was before TBC and wotlk
They should idd make a Original wow server Just a separate folder in Realm thingie with Original wow that has nothing to do with the wotlk ones so people can choose
The opening of the gates happened at different times on each server. Players from either faction could do any number of quests that when turned in would aid in your server being able to open the gates. From what I remember if the gates were not opened in a specific period of time the gate would open automatically. I assume this was done for lower population servers.
@SteelChains It'd be more lengthy than that. They'd have to make many Vanilla Realms to play, just to make PvP possible. Plus, not that many people are in support of a Vanilla Server. Though I do believe it would be fun, it would take a lengthy amount of time and money. Plus, they'd have to buy another command center to host just the vanilla servers, and another if customers wanted BC servers. I would love to see a Vanilla server but in reality I don't think Blizzard will be implementing one.
I personaly loved TBC. I have no idea why people say resil ruined the game, it didn't. If you think about the game now in wotlk, no resil at all...people would be 1 shotting eatchother, there's a reason blizz implemented resil. I'd have to agree though, vanilla was by far the greatest time for WoW.
pre bc was the golden age we all know and loved but i still liked the begging and middle of bc. the instances was hard but not to hard or to easy and 10 man was a good idea at the time but now with wotlk it takes no skill in pvp or pve.
i started playing when bc was out i actually liked BC and i like wotlk i think wintergrasp is epic enough but classic looked like alot of fun to shame i didnt play then
Nothing i dont think ...im not exactly sure but they just opened up. During the event players could do quests and other such things to prepare for the opening. Some elite mobs appeared in Silithus. I dont know a lot about it I wasnt there which i regret with every fiber of my being.
massive reasources were needed to be gathered, a top raiding guild had to assemble the septer of the shifting sands and you had ot survive the opening itself :D (jk bout last part though living helps) :)
i still remember that i was lvl 46 when this event took place in my server...and i was running through un goro to see it, but i was too noob to know the places and the tricks of the game:S
tell me about it, everything you do in vanilla wow is fresh and unique, always things to be exited for, and ofcourse epics...were actually epic. Didn't see noobs running around in full purple gear back then. Though wow these days is still great, i dont have much against it, but the old days were just awesome :[
That totally sucks actually...one of the coolest events in the history of the game with one of the most unique titles and items. I'd level another character on a new realm in a second if I could have a chance at it.

Yes, but if you think about it Illadan should be stronger then Arthas. When they fought Arthas wasnt much stronger, and hasnt gained any physical power since. He only got the Lich Kings will to control the dead. While Illadan went into OL and found many secrets and new wepons. Plus Illadan still had a vail of the Well of Eternitys power. Witch he never drank....
yeah well even if he does come out in 3.3.3 hes gonna be impossible without full tier 8 and ulduar epics. LK could probably solo ulduar so i think hes gonna be tougher than ppl think.
dont get your hopes up. Illidan was downed by Nihilum DAYS after he was released in BC. The Lich King will just be a normal raid boss update, and most likely not the last boss released in Wotlk.
when BC came out it says it the time you need from 60-70 takes you as long as the time from 1-60 Blizzard has made it sooo easy for all the noobs outside there!
ehm :S lvl 60 and they game was perfect, lvl 70 was total bullshit, wotlk is not to bad, and onyxia is a 40man raid boss, i can solo her (lvl 80 pala).
what blizz is doing? well they turned a good game into a super shitty game with TBC, and made it a bit bether again with wotlk, still not the same as lvl 60 tho =/
how was TBC bad? The boss fight left more epic u had to look out for shit more. WotLK.. they made it so idiots can play the game, KT is way easyer then prince. for prince u had to look out for infernals and for enfible or whatever, for KT all u got to look out for is red shit on the ground. The only good fight they didnt in WotLK that FEELS epic is maly
did u start playing while tbc was out? and yes TK is easy, but naxx was fun, OL raiding was boring, OL looked fucked up and did not have a good layout, resilliance rouind PVP (for alot of casters atleast).
WOTLK is fresh and so far i see what i like and im willing to give it a shot, but i dont think there is ever gonna be as good as Vanilla wow.
I raided all raids in TBC rather then sunwell and BT. And i heard BT was epic fun. I loved Hyjal myself. But i do not think that the layout of OL is bad. They had good zone ideas, like Nagrand, Blades edge, Neatherstorm, and shadowmoon looked kool to. I DO Think northrend looks better but the random nonfrozen zone are just dumb.. i love the zones but they should look cold. And the only raids that felt epic in wrath, is Mal.. rest is to easy to be epic
Ony can be soloed or 2 maned. I think there was a druid in BC that soloed her but im not sure. But the reson DK's have an epic mount and start at a high lvl is so that a player that already started from lvl 1-55 can just start at a mid mount in the game. And come on... geting 500g in 5lvls not that fair to the DK's. But i agree that BC is better then WotLK. I even like OL more then northrend, ppl if you think about it a nortrend shoulnt have a forest like grizzly hills or the basin!

the least blizzard could have done was made pre bc servers when they were about to open bc like u could switch whatever characters u wanted to the pre bc server and keep whatever characters u wanted to expand with bc but instead blizzard did their 1st retarded expansion and nobody had a choice they either expanded or quit they could have saved alot more players by making seperate servers oh well =-=

I dunno i just like it better. In my time of being 70 i did kara a thousand times but almost NEVER did a heroic. This time around i do lots of heroics and an occasional raid. Its just alot more fun to me and northrend just looks way cooler than Outland, but thats just me syle. Its just theres a better story and, overall. just looks better, and theres more than just one thing to save money for. I dunno a just didnt like BC at all

WoTL is 30x better then BC they bought back naxx....DK are here.. Im sorry but kara was way harder then naxx, and Keal'thas was harder then Ulduar, BT/ Hyjal was harder then the new raid. ppl downed many bosses in Ulduar the day it opened and there may have been if not NONE boss kills in the first day SSC opened
Its because Blizzard are becoming lazy, they are running out of material to use, just see the evidence of how Pre-Bc was so so different to newer expansions, the gameplay/loot/everything changed. The way they re used nax was horrible, they should have incorporated some new addons to the instance (they may have I'm not sure). The tier sets are slowly getting less creative and more similiar/stupid.
The only reson it was so hard to get gear in pre BC was cus 40ppl where there, while now it can be only 10. Thats why naxx was harder to, 40 ppl doing thadd...
Also, BC was harder just cus you couldnt get fucking tier from badges, i mean wtf
Oh and PvP then was much better as well, everyclass was balanced, Back then it was all about skill, now DK's and Ret Pallis take no skill and they pew pew most class'es, my warlock can take most Ret Pallis, if there fucking bubbles on CD but still PvP is broken, however i do love the new BG even tho it is more of a reasourc fight then killing there general but i like that
blizz should increase the lvls of the mobs in the 60 raids and make new gear for them to drop so lvl 80s actually have more of an option in the raids instead of doing naxx all the time
They did do that for one. It's called Naxxaramas. Donno if you've heard of it.
The reason they don't just do it to all of them is because they still need endgame to be somewhat decent for those who don't have the expansions. Same reason they don't up BT or Sunwell.

Blanced? Think of paladins in Pre BC, they could only heal, they couldnt hold aggro in prot, deal damage in retri and their healing wasnt top-notch either, theyve the worst class for 3½ years... Best in pre bc was that you didnt have to gather different gear to different specs cause the one set (i.e Avenger's Battlegear AQ 40 set) gives every stat a paladin needs, just switch of weapons is needed.
the gates was a 1 time thing it will never happen again and if u werent there u missed a really good day and yeah u can still run both aq 20 and 40 but gl getting smart ppl to do it most ppl r just cocky idiots who think that just because they r 80 they dont need to know the fights >.>
First of all, with that extreme amount of players, you'd need a lot of RAM and probably a really fast connection to not experience lag. Secondly, this was made back in 2006.
the worst thing about bc that i hate the most out of everythign is blood elfs and dranei cause both races r cowards in lore and they didnt face thier problems head on they just ran >.> i would prefer dwarfs on the horde side then blood elfs atleast they would fit in much better the alliance can have blood elfs for all i care blood elfs suck and so do draneis >=(

Yes, but if you think about it Illadan should be stronger then Arthas. When they fought Arthas wasnt much stronger, and hasnt gained any physical power since. He only got the Lich Kings will to control the dead. While Illadan went into OL and found many secrets and new wepons. Plus Illadan still had a vail of the Well of Eternitys power. Witch he never drank....

yeah well even if he does come out in 3.3.3 hes gonna be impossible without full tier 8 and ulduar epics. LK could probably solo ulduar so i think hes gonna be tougher than ppl think.

dont get your hopes up. Illidan was downed by Nihilum DAYS after he was released in BC. The Lich King will just be a normal raid boss update, and most likely not the last boss released in Wotlk.

ehm :S lvl 60 and they game was perfect, lvl 70 was total bullshit, wotlk is not to bad, and onyxia is a 40man raid boss, i can solo her (lvl 80 pala).
what blizz is doing? well they turned a good game into a super shitty game with TBC, and made it a bit bether again with wotlk, still not the same as lvl 60 tho =/

how was TBC bad? The boss fight left more epic u had to look out for shit more. WotLK.. they made it so idiots can play the game, KT is way easyer then prince. for prince u had to look out for infernals and for enfible or whatever, for KT all u got to look out for is red shit on the ground. The only good fight they didnt in WotLK that FEELS epic is maly

did u start playing while tbc was out? and yes TK is easy, but naxx was fun, OL raiding was boring, OL looked fucked up and did not have a good layout, resilliance rouind PVP (for alot of casters atleast).
WOTLK is fresh and so far i see what i like and im willing to give it a shot, but i dont think there is ever gonna be as good as Vanilla wow.

I raided all raids in TBC rather then sunwell and BT. And i heard BT was epic fun. I loved Hyjal myself. But i do not think that the layout of OL is bad. They had good zone ideas, like Nagrand, Blades edge, Neatherstorm, and shadowmoon looked kool to. I DO Think northrend looks better but the random nonfrozen zone are just dumb.. i love the zones but they should look cold. And the only raids that felt epic in wrath, is Mal.. rest is to easy to be epic

Ony can be soloed or 2 maned. I think there was a druid in BC that soloed her but im not sure. But the reson DK's have an epic mount and start at a high lvl is so that a player that already started from lvl 1-55 can just start at a mid mount in the game. And come on... geting 500g in 5lvls not that fair to the DK's. But i agree that BC is better then WotLK. I even like OL more then northrend, ppl if you think about it a nortrend shoulnt have a forest like grizzly hills or the basin!

the least blizzard could have done was made pre bc servers when they were about to open bc like u could switch whatever characters u wanted to the pre bc server and keep whatever characters u wanted to expand with bc but instead blizzard did their 1st retarded expansion and nobody had a choice they either expanded or quit they could have saved alot more players by making seperate servers oh well =-=

I dunno i just like it better. In my time of being 70 i did kara a thousand times but almost NEVER did a heroic. This time around i do lots of heroics and an occasional raid. Its just alot more fun to me and northrend just looks way cooler than Outland, but thats just me syle. Its just theres a better story and, overall. just looks better, and theres more than just one thing to save money for. I dunno a just didnt like BC at all

Im sorry but kara was way harder then naxx, and Keal'thas was harder then Ulduar, BT/ Hyjal was harder then the new raid. ppl downed many bosses in Ulduar the day it opened and there may have been if not NONE boss kills in the first day SSC opened

Its because Blizzard are becoming lazy, they are running out of material to use, just see the evidence of how Pre-Bc was so so different to newer expansions, the gameplay/loot/everything changed. The way they re used nax was horrible, they should have incorporated some new addons to the instance (they may have I'm not sure). The tier sets are slowly getting less creative and more similiar/stupid.

Oh and PvP then was much better as well, everyclass was balanced, Back then it was all about skill, now DK's and Ret Pallis take no skill and they pew pew most class'es, my warlock can take most Ret Pallis, if there fucking bubbles on CD but still PvP is broken, however i do love the new BG even tho it is more of a reasourc fight then killing there general but i like that

blizz should increase the lvls of the mobs in the 60 raids and make new gear for them to drop so lvl 80s actually have more of an option in the raids instead of doing naxx all the time

They did do that for one. It's called Naxxaramas. Donno if you've heard of it.
The reason they don't just do it to all of them is because they still need endgame to be somewhat decent for those who don't have the expansions. Same reason they don't up BT or Sunwell.

those were the days when everything was balanced,hard to get,and there were not as many idiots in wow as there is today and when i say balanced i mean that everything was fair like when there is a warrior vs. mage it wasnt pre determined either of them has a chance to win either the warriors great dps will kick the mages ass or the mage will kite long enough to kill the warrior and i hate the arena system if u have a fucking cc u basically win and that sucks alot

Blanced? Think of paladins in Pre BC, they could only heal, they couldnt hold aggro in prot, deal damage in retri and their healing wasnt top-notch either, theyve the worst class for 3½ years... Best in pre bc was that you didnt have to gather different gear to different specs cause the one set (i.e Avenger's Battlegear AQ 40 set) gives every stat a paladin needs, just switch of weapons is needed.

First of all, with that extreme amount of players, you'd need a lot of RAM and probably a really fast connection to not experience lag. Secondly, this was made back in 2006.

the worst thing about bc that i hate the most out of everythign is blood elfs and dranei cause both races r cowards in lore and they didnt face thier problems head on they just ran >.> i would prefer dwarfs on the horde side then blood elfs atleast they would fit in much better the alliance can have blood elfs for all i care blood elfs suck and so do draneis >=(
