This is beautiful, like the original song. I could fall asleep to this (i have multiple times actually) it's a shame the project was cancelled though...it would have been a big hit, i bet
Hey everybody! I just released my solo album "Mirror Image" that contains electronic upbeat and ambient songs heavily inspired by video game music and OC Remixes such as this one. If you're interested you can check out the songs on my youtube page, and links to my myspace page and places to download the full album are on my youtube channel as well :) .
I love this remix. Truly awesome original song, and awesome rendition :)
- at least it was, until it was hollywood-ized (metaphorically) ... now it's hard to find beautiful video game music anymore...
stick to the classics, may sound like an old geezer, but in terms of how fast business has taken over the video game industry... I'd rather stick to the old skool creativity-over-cash style.
When I'm a father, I'll share movies like this with my children, and tell them, 'This is how you know something had quality; even after it's gone, it inspires and informs the creativity of others.'
You should really check out Verdegrande's rendition of your remix. He mixes it with Zohar's fantastic arrangement and creates a whole new level of awesome.
Chrono Resurrection i think it should be a Wii ware game for 2000 points and would go greatly with a classic blast from the past with enhanced 3d graphics and put more movies in like on the DS extra content
very awesome, when i saw the word "Remix" in it, i thought it was going to be some over synthesized poppy crap. Very good remix. What string instrument is that playing? Just a regular steel string acoustic?
Sounds awesome. Catches the feeling of the original Corridor Of Time-Track quite good, at least way better than certain other remixes. Bad thing CT Resurrection got cancelled ...
32 Mb (Megabit) game. And for the sake of knowledge, there's 8 bits to a byte, so the game itself is actually only 4 MB (Megabyte). Of course, if you say something has "32" over "4", that sounds all the more impressive even if you have no idea what any of it means.
I remember stumbling upon Mathew's site long ago. It was all weird organized and I ended up in some filelist, and I found a bunch of oggs that were remakes of CT music, and I grabbed them all. This was there, and god, it rules.
From what I understand, though the SNES had a 16 bit processor, it's power could be somewhat increased through having various components that were built into the cartridge itself... or something... =/
Well, I looked it up on Wikipedia and it was as I expected. The game cartridges use 32 megabits (MEGs) of memory. So it has to do with the storage capacity of the cartridge.
The Chrono Trigger fans are the best... It's been almost 20 years, and we still make fan material.

This song sure brings back my high school memories.. Back then, I used to come back home from school and play this game on my Super Nintendo.

I'd have thought Chrono Cross was 32 bit, being a PS1 game.
And that Chrono Trigger would have been 16 bit being a SNES game.
