None of the one-hit wonder bands with a cute boy like Zed, Evermore, Pluto really amounts to the true, original New Zealand rock: The Dunedin Sound, Dave Dobbyn, the Muttonbirds, SUPERGROOVE.

I can't stand it when Kiwis say "NZ music 4 lyfe" when nothing out there today is  original, save for the few Tiki Tāne, Kora, and Fat Freddys Drop. NZ rock and rap's dead.

New Zealand music is great, and I'm English! The majority of nz bands aren't well knoiwn anywhere outside nz and aus. Goodnight Nurse is known in America though. The other day one of Stereogram's song was palying on Kerrang (a huge punk, rock and metal music channel over here in the uk and Bowling for soup said it was on of their favourtie bands.) Also The Datsons were sold out when they toured the uk.
