Another thing, that's completely natural, any man can sing like that in his falsetto, what surprised me is that it was his head voice he was singing in.

Men have three voices by the way;(in order from lowest to highest) chest, head, and falsetto.

I'd assume that he had to flip into his falsetto for those higher notes.

He should not give his dream - more lessons, theory, etc. He belongs in opera. A stunning voice - good male sopranos are so hard to find. But he needs to work with a very good teacher, and maybe apply for an opera course at one of the music colleges. I think they will leap on him! It might take a few years but it would be well worth his while. Concentrate on Bach, Handel, Haydn, etc, Greg. It's where you belong. Good luck!

@shinawillful it is not soprano, it is head voice, often named "falsetto". Haendel never used such voices to opera, but it was popular in oratorios (but Mesjash didn't include male falsetist or castrati but female sopranos and boy soprano voices). A mystery is what would Haendel do with today, modern contretenors- maybe Cencic, Dariusz Paradowski, Arno Rauning but they would have big problems to compare with castrati.

hey guys, "male sopranos" are very talented. and its just amazing to watch. a few hundred years back, they would cut the balls from a male baby to make their voices like this in opera. they still do it to this day in parts of italy. if you wanna watch another soprano, search youtube for "Vitas" and click on the first video (watch all of it...amazing)
