I predict Michigan goes anywhere from 7-5 to 9-3 next year, with losses to Penn State, Ohio State, Illinois, and possibly Utah and some other school.

Actually, the series is 10-3 Michigan. I wouldn't exactly call that "never". In 1994, 1995, and 1996, Penn State enjoyed a three game winning streak over the Wolverines. Also, Michigan has to face Penn State on homecoming. Most of the time, Penn State wins in blowout fashion on homecoming, such as last year a 38-7 beating handed to a decent Wisconsin team. I don't think the margin of victory will be quite that big, but I think Michigan will have a tough time with Penn State in 2008.

"Never" was a shot at Penn State. Yes, they've beaten Michigan before and I'm sure Michigan will have their hands full this year. After this year Penn State should be back to business as usual.

I know, and I was pointing out that a winning streak can easily be broken. And a team doesn't have to be as down as Notre Dame was when Navy beat them for that to happen. Typically, Penn State is a team that has one amazing year every four or five years, and some respectable 8-4 or 9-3 years in between. If Wisconsin fixes the gaping holes in their defense, they might win the Big 10 this year, otherwise, I think it'll be dark horse Illinois, with OSU and PSU fighting for second place.

You may be right, Michigan is only a step better than last year, or maybe no different. However, don't be shocked if Michigan pulls the upset, Michigan has bowl eligibility at stake while Ohio State already has the Rose Bowl guaranteed, so they may come out flat (remember, this generation of players likely doesn't remember the Cooper era). However it's a long shot, I'm expecting the Buckeyes to win, but dialed back a bit from what you may be thinking. My prediction is Ohio State 30, Michigan 12.
