Drum and bass is not original for like 50 years now by a certain logic.

It evolves but music can always be relatable to another genre. (directly or indirectly)

If you look at liquid funk, you'll hear a lot of soul samples.

There are also a lot of reggae riddims from the 80's and even before that (that are still used and remixed or whatever).

BTW the band still exists of course without original line up.
