@SarahLee1 The United states is the worlds greatest debter nation. its deficit with the rest of the world is truly gargantuan, it public debt including liabilities is so huge it can never be paid back. Infact the USA has resorted to printing money inorder to buy its own debt.
The Weimar republic was equally prosperous up until its credit line expired.
The USA & Canada are more south American banana republics, living it large until their credit lines run out.

I'm American and a lot of Americans are asking the same thing about immigrants coming to the country.I live in Japan now but I can tell immigration increased a lot during the few years I was away from home. When i went back to the usa i was soooo surprised. Anyways, the Irish used to be mass movers themselves. My family is from ALabama and about hundred years or so one of my great ~grandfathers came to the usa from Ireland and married into my family that was native american and black.
