I do know of a converter cause i have it, but the only problem is that isn't not free, so the trial is kinda blahhh, but the converter is called Total Converter. It converts anything and everything possible, trust me on that. What i can do, is convert the clips for you, if all else fails.
I'm not sure if I can help. Converting takes long for me too. If it's codec problems, (the reason why you're converting), and you only get audio into vegas. Just remove the divx codec, and everything, and download the mega K-lite codec pack. (: If you're just looking for a converter, I'm sorry I can't help. ): Ahh, everybody is saying different things. I remember you! Well, yeah. But, before I could get any Avi on it, but I had to reboot my computer and delete a lot of stuff, because some clips weren't working and I don't know if I deleted something that I needed to show Avi's.
Have you updated your video stuff on your computer? Your DVIX or something like that- it'll usually help if you have it updated to the latest version they have to help with your AVIs to show and all.

You can convert the AVI's with the youtube downloader. :D
I did it.
Just download it in like, 10 - 20 seconds, and use it, the do convert video to WMV. 8D
