  • Yes, the danger is here today...if you go outside and stare at the sun through a magnifying glass. UV rays are not as harmful as this commercial makes them seem.

  • The future...in 240p

  • in the future everyone wears glasses? well, thats pathetic...

  • 2 seconds in this video.....2 minutes in reality.....=____=

  • @LiteScar if you're gonna be outside for hours, then 2 minutes won't make a difference. plus its like, they're the only lenses of their kind as of right now, so of course the technology isnt gonna be perfected

  • kool is dis the matricx

  • Transition lenses are hardly futuristic; they've been around since (at least) the 1980s. You could even have your initials printed on a lens' corner.. (*shakes head*)

  • Anyone know where to find still photos or a higher quality video of this commercial? I love the futuristic architecture.

  • tell me when you need glasses, and your forced to buy those because they lost every pair but one transitions. And hey, they make a person look better!

  • damn, it only it did it that quick in real life, shame, it takes mine lik 30 seconds to darken an 3 mintues to lighten...

  • @keneke45 Although it appears light, the UV rays are still being blocked when you go outside. The lightening part is simply because the UV detectors in the lenses take a little bit to deactivate. And the way it's designed, some people will be in the shade temporarily, then go right back out. So, it only makes sense to make it lighten slowly. Another thing is that you see exactly the same when you go inside, so what's the difference?

  • Her name is tanit phoenix

  • I love transitions!!

  • can u tell me more info on it?lol just curious

  • I think is a mixed in the glass I'm not pretty sure my father he is the optician and he know how but when have contact with sun, protect your eyes with the UV and not need sun glases. The real transition is guaranteed. My dad uses it for 9 years ago, when they began, and has never had any problems, is very curious when I see him enter and leave the mall when the sun is shining.

  • i thought they where gonna be too dark but i love them cause u can still see the colors and stuff everywhere and its a softer but great protection from the sun i got the gray ones

  • if only they tinted that quick lol

  • In reality, they are quite quick - about 10-15 seconds for the newer ones, and 3 mins to lighten from their darkest point.

  • I love the new commercial with the gorgeous girl doing the Africa photography. She has to be one of the most prettiest girls i've ever seen. Does anyone know her name?

  • Has anyone else seen the newer Transitions commercial with the girl doing the Africa photography? She has to be one of the most beatifulliest girls i've ever seen. I usually stop everything when that commercial comes on, just to look at her. Damn she's beautiful! Anyone know who she is?

  • -bone, not me but i wanna know what your talking about, where can i watch it on youtube. Lol

  • I have a pair, im wearing them right now.

  • They are neat do they work that good

  • i have those they rock

  • do they get that dark right away? because i just got mine and they don't get that dark,do the glasses have to get use to the sun to be like that????

  • No, I think it's more like the whitening strips for teeth. They always look better in ads.

  • Not true. My teeth came out with great results within 4 weeks.

  • samater I think the commercial only has them get dark right away because it would be impractical to wait the estimated 15 minutes it takes for them to acquire their full UV darkness in a commercial that can only last a few seconds. As for darkness regular transition lenses are supposed to get dark but you can still see the person's eyes though I've heard there are specialized brands that make them completely dark like sunglasses.

  • Oh let me know where you got them ( product name ? ) My son just got a pair and they DO work just like that but we were hoping for lenses that didn't get THAT dark at their darkest point. You may have a different product than the Transitions brand.

  • The best photocromic lens.. but there are only in two colors!
