I think that's ridiculous. You can believe in god perfectly fine and not be a christian. I believe you can be, and believe, whatever you want to.

in my opinion, its about people who truly believe theyre doing the right thing for religion, and use use religion as a way to justify their actions no matter how horrible, realizing what they are really doing. Kinda like the horror of a reality check, and now she/they/he/whatever gender you want to take it despite the singer being female, are wondering if they can redeem themselves.

@creforce I'm not sure if Within Temptation does either. They'll have songs like this one and "The Cross;" then they'll have songs like "Forsaken" and "Aquarius." I guess, though, songs are a form of poetry, so they can mean one thing to the writer and another to the listener.
