  • Yeah Jesus is the son of God, but no more than you and I.

  • i love JESUS very much....

  • A man came 2000 years ago to show respect and brotherhood among men, to show kindness, morality and truthfulness..His words never fitted into the norm of the day..He shook the beliefs of every civilization since the Romans..and set our basic values today..He is Jesus Christ who died for us

  • Amen

  • From such a humble and lowly station comes the greatest personnage in the history of the world!

  • Hey, if you want to get on your knees and kneel in front of Jesus and have his blessings splashed all over your face in some type of homo-erotic form of ritualistic voodoo worship, knock yourself out. I'll stick with the ladies.

  • You remember that when your burning in hell for all eternity.

  • Do you people ever make any claims that you can actually back up with some kind of proof? You realize the Hindus can't prove their version of hell either. Maybe you'll be burning there for eternity. Or maybe one of the other many versions of hell. Hell is a part of a common mythological storyline, good vs. evil. It's the 21st century people, let's try and catch up.

  • Look, not all Christians see Hell as a place of fire and brimstone. I certainly don't.

  • See, not even the Christians can agree.

  • History demonstrates that they can't. However, Christian doctrine itself admits that no one is perfect, not even Christians. What's important is not stuff like what Hell is like. What's important is what Jesus taught. After that, the rest is just details.

  • Then believe and follow what Jesus taught. That is a separate issue than the "GOD" label of some supernatural being. Jesus was a human like many other peace and love preaching humans. He died and he's not coming back. Virgin birth, miracles, healing sick, resurrection, are all common story lines that existed even before Jesus came around. That is what History demostrates.

  • Jesus taught that we were to follow Him. He claimed to be the Messiah, the Savior, The Son of God. I can't follow His teachings and not believe that. It's that simple.

  • Many claimed to be gods, this just happens to be the one that was presented to you at an impressionable time in your life. I can follow his teachings (love, peace, help fellow man, etc.) and not believe he's anything other than a human. Very simple.

  • i thought jesus took all our sins and saved us so why should we go to hell? so ur god will send him to burn in hell for eternity even for such a simplistic reason as creating a few symbols on a computer screen, that is just proof that god is a sadistic fuck. "if he was even real at all for that matter"

  • why did god have to send his SON? I mean, if it was a girl, OK, I'd be a lot more likely to believe and worship. But this who nealing down before jesus stuff is a little too ho-mo for me. I mean that's fine if that's who you are, but carpy likes the ladies and if it was Mary Magdaline or some babe like that, you might have something. You screwed up God. Learn from it.

  • shut up ok watch your mouth dumbbo

  • Nice response slingblade.

  • I don't want to argue. I just want to know how in the blazes you made the connection between prayer and sexuality. I see no connection between the two.

  • Where do I mention prayer?

  • You mentioned "kneeling down before Jesus stuff." When you kneel down before God and talk to Him in a worshipful manner, that's prayer.

  • Last time a girl was kneeling before she wasn't praying... although she did mention god a few times...

  • Perhaps, but you seemed to be specifically referring to kneeling before God and talking to Him in a worshipful manner. That particular type of kneeling is prayer, even if the kind you're talking about with this comment is not.

  • So he can't hear you if you are standing up?

  • Of course He can. The kneeling is symbolic of humility, a reminder if you will. You don't have to kneel to pray. You were the one who mentioned kneeling.

  • Yes, kneeling is symbolic. The whole bible is symbolic. Snakes in gardens, birth at the winter solstice, 40 days 40 nights of rain. Its all symbols that are similarly used in other religious texts. It was the superstition of the time, much like astrology.

  • amen!!

  • Jesus my Saviour

  • James E. Faust passed away .
