While looking for Jerusalem of Gold, I came across this rendiion by Ofra.
Unfortunately, I never got to listen to this absolutely gorgeous woman while she was alive. Her eyes are mezmerizing. She speaks to the heart. Her beauty is otherworldly. Her voice, I could listen to for hours (and now do). The depth of feeling her singing generates is amazing. RIP beautiful lady.
Ofra, no one can do it like you. A pity that you left us so early. Maybe your voice could have brought peace. Only if there peace your wish to go to de Dead Sea via Jericho can come true. I hope that especially Israeli politicians, as Israel is the occupier and the strongest military power, will listen to you and will start peacetalks with the Palestinians seriously. Israel and Palestine can live in peace together as good neighbours.
@svenfors1 I think she was actually born in Yemen. But if you go to Israel you will certainly meet plenty of Israeli women. Or just go to Russia. They would be grateful for marraige to leave that country.
