Magnificent. As a lover of the original, and quite as protective as every other Neil Young fan, I still say that is one of the best NY covers I've ever heard. Neil must have become blase about cover versions of his songs over the years, but he really ought to hear this if he hasn't already.

Holy...from the first 20 seconds, I thought it was the wrong song...could not recognize the Neil Young melody...then it came together...you have incorporated both the melody and harmony lines together so cleverly, my ear was not expecting that! Neil Young just plays chords on the recorded version. If this was your original version of "Expecting to Fly", WOW I am impressed!! Very nicely put together, captures the sadness of the song. You could sell tablature for this! 10/10! MORE! MORE!

That was painfully beautiful! It so captured the feel and depth of the original Buffalo Springfield vocal.

well, i wanted to do the whole song. the intro is pretty impossible to get right so i'm biting off more than i can chew. but the ending (with a little fixing) could be quite doable and I LOVE that ending with the oboe and such.

that was amazing troubleclef, and I don't type out complements lightly. That song was one I would play after a girlfriend of mine moved away, and left me alone on an island. It was the end of summer, and every word seemed to speak to me. Maybe it's about his father or something totally different then a man and woman going their seperate ways, but it was there for me in any case. Songs like that, can enter your heart like no other art form. Many thks for that exquisite interpretation. Brilliant!
