@yao052 - yes, I think the thirty-odd years of financial turmoil from the mid 1960s led to a crumbling of infrastructure in those years, but Ghana has it's own style & identity now, and it is slowly recovering from these stagnant years of the past where development was hamstrung by budget.

If the oil exploration pays dividends and filters back to projects, then Accra will continue to improve. There is no reason why Ghana can't become the "Singapore" of West Africa in time.
