Good pointer! I never buy self rising, because I might use it once a year, if that, but I never knew exactly what was in it. I've always just thrown in "some" baking powder and let it slide. And sometimes that can fizzle pretty badly... LOL
@anmoose Lately I have resorted to googling everything before I buy it. If I can make it with things I have on hand, I want to give it a go. Sometimes it is faster, easier to just buy it..but I thought what a waste this would be. Now I can make a loaf here or there!
@popparoc46 lol flower :) I didn't say a thing because the stuff I type in comments sometimes I'm sure are beyond recognizable. I have a way of turning words into medical ones...
I can't remember now where I learned this trick but I love it. Buying self rising is for suckahs. Think I'll watch the bread recipe tomorrow. It's so late here I'll get hungry have to go make something to eat & then have to sue when I can't fit through my doors anymore. : )
could u give a ratio of baking powder:salt:flour cause I don't need 3 cups of self rise flour >.<

@MUSLIMVIEWER Yes, all the measurements change when you use only one cup of flour
