Thunderbolt, for your paper, did you use the Catholic Catechism 1994? In it, you'll read paragraph 2677 that talks about praying to Mary and calls her the ALL HOLY ONE (blasphemy upon blasphemy). Paragraph 966 says that prayers to Mary deliver sould from death and 969 says she gives eternal salvation via her prayers. She's called the Advocate, the Mediatrix, etc. This is worship. I made a three part study of the Biblical Mary in which I cover latria, dulia, and hyper-dulia. They are just words and their actions tell the story. When the papacy says we don't give Mary the same level of worship, and then proceed to carry her graven image through the streets and adorn her with flowers. Mary is certainly our advocate. Think of Mary as the second eve. Where the first eve caused satan's reign, Our Lady's work corrects that. Mary is the workhorse. Mary has influence in heaven. Mary can convince her Son to grant mercy where He would otherwise refuse or ask us to wait. This is shown in the wedding at Cana. the Virgin Mary is indeed to be honored, however, I get troubled with they that think they need to pray to her for salvation...Jesus Christ alone is whom I pray to for salvation, he indeed IS my brother And my best friend! My mother has been to Medjugorje and just gave me "Look What Happened While You Were Sleeping" Easter Sunday. By a Friend of Medjugorje- this is troubling
