This really was the best year in Formula One, the Champion of 2005 against the seven time champion.

It was even better than 2007, because it was a battle between two teams and two (world championship winning) drivers while in 2007 it was McLaren that let a rookie go for the championship which wasn't the right thing to do.

@NotImportante82 I know this was a year ago comment, but what did you think of 2010? It was quite a good year and 5 people were in for the championship for a majority of the year. I wish the cars were still as great as they were in 06 though.

@xpeacockx It was enjoyable, Red Bull messed up a lots of points which was the reason McLaren was in for the title, but never serious contenders in my eyes. Alonso had great results after Silverstone which almost cost Red Bull the drivers title, which would've been their own mistake. If Red Bull picked 1 driver to fight for the Championship... they would've been Champions before Abu Dhabi (I've got a new nickname :)).

So we've to thank Red Bull for not picking a number 1 driver.

@jeanclaude780 Suzuka last race Schumacher just view points in lead drove in race like hell and would it winn easy, then engine blow up....Beside the Italiens should talk to much crap now when the car is the failer to not to win the CC. He build Ferrari, what was that be4? How many races it blows off? And he stay. That Ferrari Alonso took I bet that was also a reason to leave. That was a bad move from Ferrari.
