But if two vehicles traveling at 70mph were to hit head on, the damage suffered wouldn't be much different that hitting a solid unmovable object at 140mph. The only difference is that the vehicle may suffer more damage all around than strictly to the front area due to the momentous energy traveling between the two objects.

What you need to take home from this is if you are about to crash into a cement wall at about 124mph or 200kph its better to jump out of the car then stay in it. Also try not to crash at 200kph, because you will die.

@mat999999999 : The Energy is not higher if two cars hit each other at exact same speed in exact different direction. think about if in the moment of the hit a wall would be between the cars and each car crashes into the wall, instead the other car. the wall would not move and the damage is not higher as if you crash into a static object. Result: Suicide is not more efficent crashing an other car in front.
