Thanks for the chance to see this. Great that you had such a celebrity too. I remember his early TV series of Model Magic I was a member of a model railway club whose layout he once featured.

Getting Bob Symes to open the railway was a real coup. Well done Andy.  I hope the 'higher-ups' at the ESR appreciate just how hard you work for the railway!!

It was great getting Bob Symes to open the railway, I think Andy had it planned way before hand, after he met him at the opening of Joe Nemeths new workshops, I might be wrong!

Thanks Bob, i did go very well, The chap you saw giving the speech before Bob Symes is same the person that owns the Tinkerbell steam loco, and it wass good idea to take the cab of his engine, you could see Bob driving the engine better that way! :o)

It looks like the railway was opened and was a grand sucsess sadly I was not there! Photographing Tornado at WSR!
