Absolute bullshit - Schui didnt slaughter ANY records!- he doesn't even HOLD any records that matter - Senna's and Clark's pole strikerate SLAUGHTERS Schui's, Fangio's World Championship and win strikerate SLAUHTERS Schuis.
Strikerates are all that mattes - who gives a shit about totals - the only reason Schui has the highest totals is because he SLAUGHTERS all the other greats for GP (ie. opportunities!) - with almost as many GP under his belt as Senna, Fangio, Clark combined!
Piss off with your pathetic excuses about rule changes for Schui's pathetic pole strikerate - 27% to Senna's phenomenal 40%, (And in fact - before Senna was saddled with truly shit cars in 92,93 - at one point in 1990 Senna had 49 poles in 98 GP - a staggering strikerate of 50% in the most competitive era in history. Truly - the greatest driver that ever graced the Earth! All hail The Senna!)
It´s boring to read postings about who´s better than the other...Senna was great - Prost was great - Schumacher was great... Can´t you live with that ? Every one of you can´t drive like them - me too... Please shut up and use brain beforen talking...please...
you guys are comparing 2 ppl in diferente times, senna was great and he is my god, but shumi its a great driver... one time a friend of mine ask senna,´who you think is gonna be your sucesor¨? and senna said to him ¨that guy you see over there michael Schumacher¨ tbe objetive about what you say ppl and please respect the memory of senna and the life and records of this man, in my personal opinion fernando alonso its going to be the next leyend like shumi and senna
There is not a single aspect of the sport that Schui matches Senna in.:
Qualifying.
Wet road.
Street circuits.
Test driving.
Turbo tehniques.
Manual gear control.
Overtaking.
NOTHING - Senna beats Schui everyway.
The only thing Schui ever did that Senna didnt was good out-laps after refuelling - because Senna never had refuelling (except first 2 races of 94). So you can be sure Senna would have beaten Schui there too.
stupid, steril comments. Can we judge someone considering how much he gives, how much he earns and other things like these? Senna was great. But who says that Schumacher wasn't great hasn't the objectivity to judge Senna too.
I'm not gonna argue with you about Schumi's conditions. He has been lucky to get the chance of driving Formula 1, but he was a great driver. Unfortunately I'm too young to talk about Senna's driving, so I can't tell you which is the best driver or person for that matter.
This comment has received too many negative votesshow
Well I'm old enough - I saw all of them both - and there's no comparison, either as drivers or as people - Senna was in a league of his own - the greatest sportsman of any sport of all time - the best the world has ever seen. And as his racing-team boss Frank Williams saad - "ultimately he was an even greater man than he was a driver."
Mallamoozoo... well, what can I say. You surely are entitled to your opinion. And obviously you like Senna better than Schumi. But nevertheless you can't confuse facts with wishfull thinking. Schumi was and still is an extraordinary driver/person. And he was the one who build Ferrari back up and brought them the first Championship after 21 years. To have good sportsmanship you need to acknowlege other peoples success as well. Cuz that's what F1 is: Sport!! Unfortunately you lack it!!!!
Thats a myth - it ws Rory Byrne and ross brawn who revived ferrari - any driver there then would have won in 2000. Infact Eddie Irvine almot won in 99 - missing it by just 2 points to Hakkinen.(And would have had he not been No 2 driver the first half of the season - giving points away to Schui).
So Irvine would have won a Title at ferrai before Schui - drivers are irrelevant in making a car quick - they just drive it quick AFTEr the designers make it quick.
Drivers are irrelevant to make a car quick??????? Whatever dude.. it's no use to discuss that with you. You obviously don't know what u r talking about. You just wanna be right, ignorant and talk shit about Schumi.
Umm - actually that's direct from the mouth of his own brother Ralf who said in 2007 "The truth is the driver makes very little influence on the development of the car."
Mallamoozoo...You are so stupid...noone gives a driver help by controlling the car.And the driver is the one who decides what he is doing...why doesn´t Barrichello was quit good as Schumi ? Same Team same Car Same Technics... cause it´s really the Driver who goes to the limit or not...you just don´t like Schumi,ok .. but you have no idea of F1.
When Schui speared off at Silverstone in 99 at about the same speed Senna speared off at Tamburello in 94 - the different results were purely a matter of luck!
If Schui had been killed here like Senna unfortunately was, he would have a mediocre record - 2 World Championships and 35 wins in nearly 9 years compared to Senna's 3WC in just 8 years (and 41 wins in 10 years)
That ends the myth that Schui's stats make him the best - he was just lucky enough to be around for 250GP.
The reason Schumi wasn't killed is modern technology, not luck. In a modern F1 car you can drive with 200 km/h (120 mph) head first into a wall and walk away.

Humanitarian achievements? What a joke - Senna gave 50% of his career earnings. Schui no more than 5%
It's just an example of how the global audience is misled by the media as to who is really the best ever - it's the same whether in or out of the car - Senna in a league of his own, but Schui with all the glory, simply because the media changed over the years.
Yes I give a few dollars, but that's not the subject here.
My point is Senna earned $200 million and gave $100 million to charity (50%) while Schui earned $1000 million and gave only $50 million to charity (5%).
It looks to me like Schui was giving the minimum to maintain his image, while Senna really gave out of genuine concern.
why do you make it into a competition about who's donating most? Don't you think 50 mill is a lot to give to charity? It's got nothing to do with how much of his total bankroll he's donating.
There's a parable in the bible (I am not a strict bible-basher - but I admit it has some good ideas) about a lady with only $1 who gives it to the paupers and Jesus said "Way cool - she gave everything - the rich give 100 times more but 100 times less!"
No, I don't really get it, but honestly, I don't really care that much about what it says in the bible. I'm christian, but I'm not that spiritual. I respect you for being spiritual but what it says in the bible isn't gonna change my mind.
I think it's honorable to donate $50 mill. to charity, cus damn that's a lot of money. What Senna donated is even more honorable, but you sounded like Schumi didn't deserve this award because Senna donated more, and I think that's wrong.
I mean I think thye bible has heaps of bullshit in it too - but what this parable meant was the poor lasy gave less, but she gave everything - a bigger percentage than the rich who give a highher amount - but have way more to spare.
Senna gave 10 times higher percentage than Schumi (50% cw just 5%) - so I'm saying Senna's 50% was from the heart, Schui's 5% was from the PR manager's advice.
well, I don't really care about who's giving most and how much of their total bankroll they give. $50 mill is a LOT of money. Schumi can afford it, but it's still a lot, you can't deny that.
No - it's not a lot at all - it's not nearly enough - what's he holding on to his other $950 million for - he only needs to keep $100 million and he's still in the richest fraction of a percent of the world's population.
Keeping $950 million is obscene - that could feed 50,000 starving africans for life!
well, $950 mill. could probably feed more than 50,000 africans for life, but I get you point. Senna probably deserved the award more than Schumi. But Schumi got it, and there's no changing it no matter how much you weep about it. It sounds like you don't really like Schumi, so why are you even watching movies about him?
This comment has received too many negative votesshow
I calculated 50,000 africans at 1 dollar per day each for 50 years. (That's $950 million).
I don't really like Schumi because he has been handed the world on a plate - he was the most spoilt driver in history re. having the best cars and conditions by far - making him look far better than he really was (though he was definitely top 10 of all time), and because of that being given $1 billion. Yet he doesn't seem to acknowledge how extremely blessed he's been - as if he deserved it all!
This comment has received too many negative votesshow
Yet again Senna shows him up - Senna openly said " I acknowledge I have been very privileged in my life and had opportunities most people don't have. I acknowledge that"
He not only acknowledged it - it worried him enough to give away half his career fortune. (And I'm sure ultimately he would have given away most of it. He was like a saint.)
Schui just seems to look with gloating glee on his empire!

It was Senna that started the charity "hobby" of F1 drivers - Schui, Montoya, Webber and probably others following after his pioneering trail.
As Frank Williams said of Senna, despite being the greatest driver of all-time "he was an even greater man out of the car!"
That really is a huge statement. Senna was really something special.

The award should have gone to Senna - even posthumously.
1. Senna was the best driver.
2. Senna gave twice as much money though Schui earned 5 times more!
3. Senna did it first and Schui is just copy-catting the style pioneered by the trailblazing Senna.
4. Senna didn't seek any publicity for it - he did it secretly and rarely mentioned it. Schui is here in front of the camera gloating!
