Tom- the MTH part no.'s are 30-11076 (people), 30-11077 (bikes), 30-90126 (diecast bikes -not mine). You can order at westerndepot. c o m or get other shops off the MTH website.
I believe you mean "MTH Realtrax" ("Fast track" is Lionel's product). The answer is yes. You'll want at least the "O-42" curves so that larger engines will run smoothly on them (part no. 40-1042).
Thanks Southern. Actually, I have been experimenting with track painting for a while, desperately seeking a nice color. The track you see is a combination of 3 colors. However, I recently discovered an easier way that looks fantastic: Ace Hardware's "Chesterfield F58", interior, flat latex, 2 coats. It is the nice, rich brown rail color that you see in real life. Awesome! A quart will cover all your track and scenery needs. Or, select a color of your own - it's all personal preference.
@RandN425 Yes - The roadbed under the track is the Woodland Scenics Track-Bed foam product. You can also use Flexxbed from hobbyinnovations online - heard good things about that. Both are quiet.
Thanks for your comment Tommyz. To me, the Lionel diesel sounds are great and I love the BNSF paint job. The Faller backdrop (in beginning) from Walthers rounds it out (272-180516).
good quality sound on the sd70ace

Agreed. Lionel did a nice job with the engine and sound set. I like the sporadic steel wheel on rail rubbing sound.

Where did you get the bikers in the start of the video?

I didn't know you could do a lashup with Lionel and MTH engines.

The MTH engine is a dummy unit. It doesn't have anything in it.

Oh. I thought that might be, but I ignored my thoughts. LOL!

Thanks mh. I was pleasantly surprised too, since it was shot with just a Canon SD1200 IS point-and-shoot camera.
