  • I saw Ginger baker in concert about 12 years ago when he was touring with Brian May the esteemed guitarist for Queen when he was on his own in Rhode Island. I believe he recently died.

  • It's groovy that Winwood & Clapton still play gigs together. Best of both worlds: Cream & Traffic.

  • que tal guitarra la de erick clapton

  • This is the end music used in the road-trip film "Fandango"

  • I'm ashamed of admitting this, but I would've never found this gem if it wasn't for the show Eureka.

  • Music just doesn't get better than this.

  • i have been trying to find my way home for 30 plus years that would be awsome if we could all have one do ever in life

  • Great song.....Spookie to a degree, Makes me think of the past....All good memories.....whatever that means...

  • Joyous sorrowful powerful. From the moment the lyric begins until the final note I hear human perfection x 4.

  • electrifying. winwood has some serious pipes. love clapton's tones here. i like the odd words, too, good advice 'leave your body alone'.

  • Great tune. Timeless.

  • Started singing this to the cops in Palo Verde one night when they found me walking drunk in the middle of the road....They gave me a ride to my house!

  • @MrPinhead33

  • seems like it didnt mater who eric played with he was gold

  • electronics cover is so much better

  • Oh my God...Steve Winwood , Eric Clapton, the Stunning Ginger Baker, and the very skilled Mr. Rick Gretch...Amazing...A true Super Group! tremendous Beautiful music I love these guys and this song...how good is this? "Rock the House"!

  • been there

  • Love it, 1969. Amen

  • Man... I love this song...

  • I have the same model guitar ( not the exact same guitar) that Eric and Paul McCartney had. I just found that out 2 weeks ago, and it made me very happy :)

  • Was just out of diapers then...mom and dad would be playing this...Stones or Beatles....thanks for taking me back to another lifetime guys...

  • Beautiful song - timeless

  • @SARITV304

You are correct, thats all that nees to be said. thanks

  • So Good.

  • Loved this song, riding in backseat with a blonde babe in 69. Winwood is great as are all in this group. Love to all.

  • in which great band did eric not play?!

  • This song is about a decadent man who has been living the good life (the "throne"), but is about to die, becoming purely spirit ("leave your body alone"). The man will then meet God. "Home," of course, is Heaven. The man singing is questioning his “wasted” life, which is rapidly coming to an end. Now the man laments what he didn't do, as he waits longingly to meet Christ (the "one I have been waiting for all these years"). This is a very spiritual song from BLIND FAITH.

  • been a Winwood fan since the start and he still gets me big time. this is a version of this song i've never heard before. interesting mix. thanks for posting. completely agree with mzfreckleface but i'll say it again i fucking love Winwood

  • I fucking love Winwood!!!

  • @mzfreckleface i like your name =))

  • @mzfreckleface i like your name =))

  • I can listen to this song all day!

  • And into us, in and out, up and down, all around, circle of hands, full circle's. ??

To all resolve. To perceive, Blind shall see, all that's been shewed unto you

and me. On High, Angles are coming down, thou unseen, more than one's wildest dreams. For the righteous unto Gods perfect plan. from the day of creation. To fulfill prophesy, restore salvation, and judge every single soul. It is coming. You guys were chosen, and i love ya's man.

  • This song is, lyrically and harmonically, The Odyssey!

  • I always thought the Vietnam War was the best thing that ever happened to rock music. It was the perfect vehicle to revolt against.

  • 40 odd years I thought bands like this would save the world from WAR - silly me.

  • @cocochanelleke not so silly. the hippies played a role in preventing WWIII. It's complex, but Nixon used the anti-war movement in negotiations with China-along with China's paranoia about Japan. I never take it for granted that a nuclear war didn't happen.

  • @croussant

thanks for your reply croussant - you even filled in the missing word = ago.

    Keep well,

    Coco

    P.S.:

If there is anything else to discuss I'd rather we do that via our more or less private accounts on YT.

  • What an awsome song!

  • best song. I just love it!

  • This was one of the greatest concerts that I ever saw. It was so high and so was I. Detroit 1969

  • Which one is Eric Clapton?

  • I was just talking to my Uncle last night about the TONE of the music of the 60's and early 70's. Its' Soooooooo TASTY, Dirty and Raunchy. It washes over you with Sonic Goodness ..... REAL MUSICIANS who could ACTUALLY PLAY their INSTRUMENTS and not run through Endless Takes to get Just the RIGHT ONE or Use Stacks of Pitch Correction, Sampling, Overdubs, Sequencers ....... NOPE ....... Just Plug In .. JAM .. Record .. Then go do a Show all the same day !!!!

  • @ThaVaHillBilly "Its' Soooooooo TASTY, Dirty and Raunchy. It washes over you with Sonic Goodness ....." I can't think of any better words! =)

  • Bring back the 60's

  • I see the name Ginger Baker. Later to be Ginger Baker's Air Force?

  • Released on 2000 "Deluxe Edition", finally.

  • Compared to the rubbish songs of to-day this was a classic tune... those were the days when good music was out of us!!!

    5 stars!!!

  • Ain't this kinda music to-day !!!

I surely lived through a great music generation :-)

Those were the jolly-good days :-)))))))))))))))))))))

    @BobDylanZimmerman777  .... Regards from Budapest ... 5 stars
