Wrestling seasons would be good, WWE could even have The RAW guys tour around for the first half of the year, and SD the second or something like that.
is taking them. CM Punk surely doesn't take them. Also, people are making it seem like WWE is money hungry...Did you know WWE had to budget cut like almost $2 million because of hard economical times? WWE has to make the most money they can or else they'll go out of business and then no WWE for any of us. People need to understand that WWE is a WORLDWIDE entity and they need to regularly visit every place because they are in DEMAND...that's why they have to do 300 shows a year! It's a business.
How do you know C.M. Punk doesn't take them? You don't know for sure do you? Your totally assuming that he's not taking them, that's not a fact. Of course WWE is a business, and they try to make money. What's more important, a wrestlers health or making money? As I said in the video, in WWE's eyes, it's money. Because they love making money, they would never want to slash their touring schedule, because they don't care about their wrestlers enough to lose a little money.
First off. Wrestlers make more than enough money to buy their own insurance. Second of all, how are you so sure all of these wrestlers are being overworked? I've never heard about that recently. WWE weren't under pressure when they made the Wellness Policy. They did it after Eddie Guerrero's death. How is it that there are some people who take drugs and some that don't? How do you even know that there is anyone actively taking them now? WWE has suspended anyone (most recently Rey Mysterio)
WWE instituted the Wellness policy as a PR move, not because they were concerned about wrestlers. Most wrestlers are taking some kind of medications to heal injuries and relieve pain. I didn't say all wrestlers abused these substances, but they atleast have to take it because of all the bumbs and injuries they endure from working on the job. You don't have to be a brain surgeon to figure that out. WWE would never suspend a main-eventer, they only suspend mid-carders.
yeah this person will only get 88 hours to rest himself.A human being should sleep alot espacially an adult should sleep 11 hours but if you sleep 11 hours per day than you only get 11 other hours.
Vince the grinch will allways be the same and care about one thing. Money. Your absoultly right brandon wrestlers are push too hard especally in WWE hence why Kurt Angle went to TNA which was the correct move to make. If anyone is a bad influence then it's clearly Vince Mcmahon for the simple fact he didn't earn his muscle and strength through just pure exercise and training anyone who has seen him knows that Vince has done steroroids you can tell just by looking at him in his wrestling gear.
@01Vortex I agree they are over worked and all vince care about is money. That's why people like the rock leave, or other people have to leave from all the injuries they face, or worst dying
its vince and his love for money, what gets me angry is the wrestlers can actually do something but they dont want to, theyy have the power to stop vince but there '' scared they have lost their push '' vince is a SOB, he thinks he can do whatever the hell he wants and the sad thing is he can, when a wrestler signs a contract he is all smiles but what it really means is '' your my bitch and control your life ''
Has anyone ever thought that maybe insurance companies wont cover wrestlers working in the ring if they get hurt. And I am all in favor of reduced work schedule, but that just means prices such as tickets, shirts, dvd, etc will just go up, since these wrestlers will want the same pay if they are working 300 night schedule.
@Rolo555 If you are not working for the same amount of days why would you still get paid the same? I mean ticket prices would go up because they cut back shows and all but they wouldn't get the same pay is all I'm saying.
I just want to say that i am starting to train to become a professional wrestler, and we dont think of stuff like this, we do it because we love the business. Thats why, i love every part of what i do
you are not hired by wwe ur not even an amateur ur a trainee you have no right to claim you know a lot about wrestling i'm not angry i'm just confused on why you should comment when you hardly know anything about what goes on in wwe because once you walk bakc through those wwe curtains its a whole new world most babyface are the heels backstage for example hardcore holly was a hated guy backstage he had no friends at all zilch!
Kurt Angle said in an recent interview that he left WWE. He said " WWE was kinda running me into the ground, working 300 dates a year and it started getting really hard on my family and I. I've had a lot of injuries, 4 neck injuries, 2 neck surgeries. I've had broken bones and still wrestling full time, I was never getting any time off"
Someone like Kurt Angle who has done so much for the company doesn't even get insurance? God help us.
If I ever ran my company id run it like the UFC, have 5 weight Divisions (with pretty names of course lol) and spend time on each division one at a time. That way while the focus is on the Middleweights, the other 4 division have time to rest. Would ppl like it not at 1st, but that's how I would keep my guys safe and at least give them a break. Then again I'd need a BIG budget 4 that.
I completely agree spin. money doesn't equal giving up your rights as a human being. these people have families who they don't see often give them a break I say. that pain is no joke. wrestling may be scripted but that pain is freaking real. Yeah they choose to be wrestlers but that's their dream. them following their dreams shouldn't cost them their health.
your right. i been a indy wrestler 16 yrs. the same stuff happens in indys to. ALL wrestling needs to be subjected to these types of things. ppl are dying. good ppl.
I remember a few weeks ago seeing the DX European Tour was saw that they were wrestling every night in a different country for 2 weeks, so thats wrestling every night in a different country for the next 2 weeks. I just was amazing how they could cope with that and also not get stir crazy about it.
ok what about c m punk you know week after week he said that he straight edge he don't drink he don't smoke he don't take pills he dont do drugs do you think what he says is true and if so if he can not do drugs and still wrestles almost every week then should other wrestlers follow c m punk foot steps
yo spinnernet i don't know if this bothers you but hulk hogan said in an interview that one of the first things he would like to change in tna is their traditional trademark 6 sided ring now i dnno about you but that pissed me off just because he can't coordinate himself around that complicated ring it doesn't mean that the younger talent can't jeeze sorry i just thought i had to share that with spinnernet anybody can reply to me if u wanna talk wrestling

Hey Spinner, What do you think about WWE not even acknowldge Umaga's death on this past weeks Raw? I would like to know your opinion on this because i think its shamefull.
I JUST read about that. An article from a Britsh newspaper that someone sent me. They should have atleast mentioned on air that the man died. I mean, he did have huge matches at the 2007 Royal Rumble and at Wrestlemania that year. He was a big part of the company.
well actually most guys that dont apear on tv so much, an example of this is Evan Bourne, they do all the house shows. So they may end up wrestling more in a year than say Randy orton, and HHH.
once again i say there is no reason that the big guys like jericho should have to wrestle anymore then 2 times a week. i mean why anymore? wwe doesnt need anymore exposer. whats wrong with raw/smackdown and one dark show. whats the point to have them wrestle 4 times a week??
this is my favorite current wwe discussion spinernet. It's really...touching. Vince has gotten so wrapped up in the money and fame that he is becoming more and more reckless about his employees (wrestlers). it's frightening what fame and fortune can inflict on one.
Just because wrestlers make a lot of $ does'nt mean they should be treated like slaves.Yes the make a lot of $ but that's because peolpe watch them.If we did'nt like wrestling these people would'nt have a job OK.Have u seen how a lot of thse guys end up? look a the British Bulldog "dynamite Kid" hes' crippled, look at Lex Luger he was almost completely paralized.I suffer from back pain & ofcouse I'm goin to take painkillers it hurts!I love wretling & it's sad to see my heros die like that.
to the person who said wrestlers make alot of money, they dont realise that not everyone on the roster is a john cena or a shawn michales. jobbers like the hurricane wont have gd pay and will have to work loads.

I wanna be a Pro-Wrestler. But Vince Is not the only one that should answer to someone but Linda should answer to someone as well & also other promoters & Booker's And BTW pro-wrestlers probably don't have insurance because they aren't even listed as EMPLOYEES the are listed as independent contractors which means the janitor that cleans up the arena or the guy selling hotdogs probably have more health care benefits than the guys & girls that preform in the ring so yeah that's why 4 that.
They need an offseason to be honest. WWE comes on TV FOUR nights a week, that should be all they need. All they do is promote for other shows and merchandise as it is. It wasn't like that even five years ago (The shameless promotional stuff). It just amazes me how heartless Vince is.
Regarding the insurance, Vince basically exploits the fact that they're technically hired contractors as opposed to employees, even though they're treated like employees when they work for him.
Also there are other jobs like Crab Fishermen work sometimes 38 hours in a row and that is one of the most dangerous jobs in the world and they work in cold waters and cold winds, and they get hurt just as much as pro wrestlers but still my point is that even if the job pays great what good is the money if you're overworked
Well, you said it there - he's doing movies. He got out of full time wrestling some six years ago.
Some guys will manage to reach the top and, after spending enough years there, be blessed with a lighter physical schedule, but they're certainly the few.
You're right Spinnernet1 Wrestlers should not be treated like Animals because they're making alot of money I mean how long can you wrestle if you are doing it 300 days a year at my job I do alot of walking and my legs hurt at the end of the day but still when you need a break, You Need A BREAK!
it wouldn't look "appealing" i guess. wrestlers wear nothing to protect themselves, but football (american) players wear plenty of padding and a helmet.
they should work once a week No house shows & if they are on the need of pain killers or something then give them a timeoff & if they use steroids suspend them for a month without getting payed
neurosurgeons do not get beat up and tossed around and hurt physically like wrestlers do. how much physical pain do they endure from working too much?
bret hart tried to do this and the rumor is he got screwed/kicked out of wwe because of this, but he wanted to make a union. strength in numbers. he was right. if all the wrestlers got together and threatened to strike, vince would have no choice but to give in and change things for the betterment of the wrestlers.
not true, bret never did that, but in his book he did talk about it. He said only way that a union could ever work is if the top guys agree to it, and knowing the current list of top guys, it's not going to happen. But they should get a union, even stuntmen are covered under the screen actors guild.
actually, bret went public with the idea of the union on talk shows like off the record and in interviews and the word got to mcmahon. so he DID try to do it. he said all the wrestlers were down with the idea but when the time came for them to raise their hand in favour of the union, in front of mcmahon , a lot of them pussied out. if you watch wrestling with shadows and read bret harts AB, you will see that this happened and he did TRY. he even said that "maybe he was become too powerful"
no he wouldnt, he would realize that his top stars who he created and who make all his revenue are walking out and refusing to work and he would give in. do you know how hard it would be for him to get a whole stable full of new faces, create brand new characters, develop them and market them? They are having a hard time trying to make even 1 mega star now, think of how hard it would be to replace 6 or more
spinnernet1- I see you have on an Oakland Raiders sweat-shirt in this video.; Are you an Oakland Raiders fan?
Also, I saw you wear the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, the Chicago Bulls & a few other teams that I can't think of from time to time, as well.

why dont wwe wrestlers wear a full nfl game kit in the ring
sharapovamad 2 years ago
it wouldn't look "appealing" i guess. wrestlers wear nothing to protect themselves, but football (american) players wear plenty of padding and a helmet.

If they do 4-5 shows a week they should manage it so guys do maybe 2 each.
HBK wrestles a lighter schedule and takes breaks when he's beaten up. More guys should have his type of deal with the lighter workload.

they should work once a week No house shows & if they are on the need of pain killers or something then give them a timeoff & if they use steroids suspend them for a month without getting payed

neuro surgeons are also overworked to
krai999 2 years ago
neurosurgeons do not get beat up and tossed around and hurt physically like wrestlers do. how much physical pain do they endure from working too much?

Wrestlers need to form a union. That's the best way to address this issue.

bret hart tried to do this and the rumor is he got screwed/kicked out of wwe because of this, but he wanted to make a union. strength in numbers. he was right. if all the wrestlers got together and threatened to strike, vince would have no choice but to give in and change things for the betterment of the wrestlers.
akuma4u 2 years ago
not true, bret never did that, but in his book he did talk about it. He said only way that a union could ever work is if the top guys agree to it, and knowing the current list of top guys, it's not going to happen. But they should get a union, even stuntmen are covered under the screen actors guild.
DS59 2 years ago
actually, bret went public with the idea of the union on talk shows like off the record and in interviews and the word got to mcmahon. so he DID try to do it. he said all the wrestlers were down with the idea but when the time came for them to raise their hand in favour of the union, in front of mcmahon , a lot of them pussied out. if you watch wrestling with shadows and read bret harts AB, you will see that this happened and he did TRY. he even said that "maybe he was become too powerful"

nothing would change. he would just find more wrestlers
m80wolf 2 years ago
no he wouldnt, he would realize that his top stars who he created and who make all his revenue are walking out and refusing to work and he would give in. do you know how hard it would be for him to get a whole stable full of new faces, create brand new characters, develop them and market them? They are having a hard time trying to make even 1 mega star now, think of how hard it would be to replace 6 or more
