My wife has a great ear for singers voices and I played a few of the selections of Wanda's and she didn't get her until "Right or Wrong". Much of her earlier stuff didn't get much air play on country radio but did on rockabilly stations. Girl singers were an afterthought back then. She is still performing.
love those southern roots and sound....so great...it's an era of it's own....many put it down, but MANY would love to be able to sing and talk this way.....it is soulful and straight from the heart!!!!! just down right good!!!! we will probably never, ever have this era repeat it's self since soooooo many just do not get it...this was living! and it was the best!!!!
This is such a great respectable version of this song and she does such an original and enjoyable rendition, I am shocked that no one has commented on this..wow
