  • Why would anyone be going into a tactical situation with their weapon holstered? I'd be spending more time training on hitting moving targets at various ranges than practicing how fast I can quick draw.

  • @thegizmoguy1 I don't know, go ask the guy who invented the standards, supposed to be real former SEAL, I just shot what "merockunot" posted. But, if we're showing off how clever we are, then we would have to recognize that we can't go about with our pistol out all the time. Also, if you watch merockunot, he's transition from rifle to gun. But, you're the tactical genius. I'm certain a fast draw has no tactical value, sport.

  • @DeadeyeSteve You seem a bit insecure if you feel the need to act like an asshole to every person that comments.

  • @thegizmoguy1 seem a bit insecute if you feel the need to make snarky comments, oh and then blown up; poor little gizmoguy, got all out done on the tactical argument front? A little reality creep in and destroy your self-created world of "I'm so smart?" Don't go away mad, just go away douche.

  • With regard to these times; Seals won't be using competition holsters and magazine pouches. They will be using military gear with more secure retention and covers to keep out sand and dirt. That will slow them down. So when this guy goes quickly through this course, he is using competition gear. Seals will also be firing their first shot DA for a Sig or Beretta.

  • @oldeafcoot Thank you Captain Obvious. Would you care to post a video of your performance- competition gear or high-speed/low-drag tactical spec-ops covert ninja get up? I mean, something, anything, as submission by which we should base your opinion. I guess it's always the prerogative of the no-talents to critique those putting it out there. If you had done yer research you'd know that THESE ARE NOT EVEN REAL SEAL STANDARDS. [dumb ass trolls]

  • This is a good course of fire. It is stringent , but doable for a well trained shooter who is on- game. It requires minimum facilities. It can be done anywhere, in a gravel pit or dry river bed. The round count is great. two fourteen round magazines or four seven round mags for a 1911.

The people who are making snotty comments have never shot anything.

  • Cool stuff man but I might suggest the use of a third camera for observing the target.

  • @justinwoolee Two weren't enough? LOL. Believe I made the hits are don't, I ain't putting a third camera out there. I don't have to lie about my shooting skill.

  • I think my boy scout BB gun patch was harder to get

  • @superslung LOL I'm certain it was.

  • i honestly have no idea what the seals rig is like... maybe they do have sweet holsters? would be awesome, i just DONT know so i asked. Cool video any way man, despite the attacking comments, whatever its the goddamn internet, lifes to short to bash other american citizens for stupid shit, were on the same team. What kinda 1911 is that?

  • @RyanMcVicker It's a Kimber Supermatch II. Please accept my appologies if your question was genuine. It was unfortunately just like many before from douches thinking they had a point to make. Tell me about your bike. How long did it take to get good like that? How many falls? BTW- if you check the video details you'll see that all I'm doing is shooting the standards as posted by another. I'm not the originator nor did I establish the standards.

  • @DeadeyeSteve yeah i've seen the original standards vid i think, and its just a dude in a tshirt or something.. i mean its still good training, but when i think seals i think in the field combat so i figure they would train in the same outfit to get used to reaching for their mag in some chest mag pouch or whatever happens.. I want to get a mag holster soon and try speed reloads, probably the most impressive thing in pistol shooting to me.

Bike is a trial bike.. similar to mototrial

  • @DeadeyeSteve Trials is just getting over obstacles (downed logs, rocks, whatever) without putting your feet down.. started on moto bikes and progressed to pedal bikes. i started about 7 years ago. not many falls, just alot of cut up shins.. i once fell on my back and had spinal issues that sucked, no broken bones tho. I thought this was a video by a seal officer or something haha. 1911 is next on my list for handguns, so nice. Nice shooting btw, i need practice, i have 1 shooting vid haa

  • @RyanMcVicker Dude, I'm glad yer back was ok, spinal hurts are scary! You were ringing the steel pretty handily and the group looked good on the upper right dot.

From what I understand the original vid appears to be standards set by some SEALs and shot my a former Marine who does instruction now They seem to anticipate open top mag puches and regular joe gear, not field gear. That's just my take.

  • @RyanMcVicker SEALs usually have chest or drop leg mounted Serpa holsters or some sort of quick release holster

  • That looks a little more than 7 yards.

  • @SoundMercenaryProd At 25 yars it was, at 3 yards it wasn't, at 7 yards it was about right.

  • @DeadeyeSteve Ha! Best comment here!

You, sir, are truly a philosopher. :)

  • @deanmeierftw Thank you kind and generous sir. I graciously accept your praises.

  • @SoundMercenaryProd Cool. Either way, "Nice shootin', Tex!"

  • would a seal's rig system have convenient mag holsters on the side like that?

  • @RyanMcVicker I have no idea Ryan, it's a good question for the guy who posted the original Standards. Is yer point that sport shooting and combat shooting operate under different conditions? Well, that's hardly original, Ryan. Do ya feel like yer at the front of the pack with that one? "Hey everyone! Watch me pop this sport shooter in the mouth with a comment about speed rigs! Yuk! Yuk!"

  • Let me ask you something, McVicker; do people post videos of themselve doing things with specialized bicycles they couldn't do with less specialized bicycles? Your video of bicycle skill didn't intimidate me, I enjoyed watching it. What was about my video intimifated you so much that you were forced to post a snarky comment?

  • @DeadeyeSteve Actually it's an honest question, didn't mean it in a demeaning way, but if thats how weak your self confidence is and you take it as a threat then sad day. I love sport shooting. Just doesn't make sense for seals to train sport shooting style when they aren't going to be setup the same way out in the shit. YUK YUK! cool story bro.

  • Excellent shooting! Loved the vid, it would be better w/o the on person camera.

  • seal standards are better than that.

  • @kawsihen If you say so, can you link them for us?

  • @kawsihen Really? Produce the documentation proving it so.

I'm betting that any required, published standard, if it exists at all, is NOT better than this and not better than what DeadeyeSteve can demonstrate.

I'll happily eat my words if you or anyone else can produce the goods proving otherwise.

    Anyone?

  • @deanmeierftw If u r a real American u won't Ask that question and if u aren't I won't Answer that question.

  • @kawsihen How did I know you don't have any actual published standards. Considering you don't, how can you conclude that "seal standards are better than that"? Because some Call Of Duty video game says so?

I'll stand by my assertion that good shooters willing to demonstrate shooting ability like DeadeyeSteve does here possess skills that exceed any marksmanship requirement needed to be assigned to any special operations unit.

I could be wrong but I have yet to see any evidence.

  • @deanmeierftw Thanks for the compliment. I have not idea how good with a pistol SEALs are. Pretty good I'm certain. How I rate isn't the point. Though the abject stupidity exhibited by kawsihen and others is quite entertaining and yanking their chains is a hoot. Reminds me of the saying that some people are like slinkies...

  • @kawsihen I'm a real American. I ask the question. Put up or shut up- what the REAL SEAL Team Standards?

  • OK, so somebody got all butt-hurt over the use of the description, SEAL Team 6; he needs to get over it. The original poster of the "standards" called 'em SEAL Team 6, that's what I'll call 'em. Don't waste anyone's time pointing out SEALs aren't called SEALs anymore... except by everybody.

  • @winchester7mm who cares... you can do it with any pistol

  • Hell, it's not even "official" SEAL standards... jeez

  • Badass

  • @gamblemadman SEALs- absolutely! Me- I'm just a guy who drives a 1911 somewhat well.

  • do seals really use a 1911?

  • @ledZeppelin7680 No, but they wish they did...

  • @DeadeyeSteve yeah, I'd probably be pretty pissed if I went through seal training just to be told that all I get is a shitty m92.

  • @ledZeppelin7680 LOL On a different note; I believe the SEALs use a SIG 226. If they were using a M92 Berreta then they should on the verge of suicide. All kiding aside. I've fired both a SIG 226 (a little) and a the M92 (a lot) and there is little wrong with either. I just enjoy my 1911 more. The M92 with a trigger job is pretty sweet.

  • @DeadeyeSteve yeah, I kind of thought it wasn't actually an m92, but that seems to be what most U.S armed forces use, for some reason I thought it was the USP. but my problem with the m92 is that I feel like if I was really in combat, and I had a guy running at me as I reached the end of my mag, I'd probably take my chances reloading instead of switching to a 9 millimeter. what are their sigs chambered for, .40 cal?

  • @DeadeyeSteve JTF2 uses the SIG 226 as well and i may be wrong but i think SAS does too.

  • @maziku And they are all very sorry they don't have 1911s... grins!!!

  • @DeadeyeSteve Hi Steve. Good vids. Nice shooting. I think the SEALS are phasing out the P226s in favor of the new HK45 Compact. I'm sure maintenance has a great deal to do with it. Sigs are great, but they readily rust, especially the mags. As an aside, I'm glad your experience with the 1911 has been good. Mine has been bad. I've owned 6; 5 were not reliable. Ironically, the one that was the most reliable was an STI Trojan in 9mm & the 9mm isn't supposed to work in a 1911!

  • @grantorino2009 A compact? Hmmmm, that's.... interesting.

  • Cool video and nice shooting. Please don't take this as a slight, but the last set you fired you didn't run the gun dry before your reload so more time should be added to account for racking the slide

  • @Bartavian Yer right.

  • LOL if i challenged you to a duel i would die before i even pulled my gun out haha i bet the kid in the vid would probly kill me aswell

  • @XxCaesersLegionxX I would politely decline the duel and beg your forgiveness acknowledging you as the better man

  • Nice shooting mate what were your hits like?

  • @jasonfish07 All A zone up to the 25 yarder, 1 C zone there.

I'm sure getting a lot of hits on this video after SEAL Team 6 killed Osama bin Asswipe. I bet sales of Sig P226s are going through the roof.

  • @DeadeyeSteve HAHA that why I came for a look, always loved the SIG they deserve to get more sales. And yes a BIG CONGRATS to the guys that pulled the trigger!!!

  • What kind of a pistol?

  • @DrQxx Kimber Super Match II, see credits, 4:11

  • Is that a 45 or 9mm?

  • @birther1968 .45, my friend.

  • You could try to get them from merockunot (K. Brown) below, it was from his channel that I obtained the few strings in this video. He reported there are more (11 strings in total), but I've not had response to my request for a PM.

  • Steve,

Where do you get a list of these standards ?

  • nuckingfuts wrote: "Wicked shooting there deadeyesteve. My old man has worked for smith and wesson for 40+ years and has taught me well in my youth . Good to see a tradition continue"

    .

I accidentally deleted it, because I'm tired.

    .

I respond: Thanks, man. Have you seen the videos of my son getting started?

  • Nice job Steve.

  • BTW just an FYI I shot that day a G23 in .40 with 180 Gr. Winchester white box.

  • @merockunot I loved my G23, but when I bought my Kimber Supetmatch II, I sold it to a friend, now he loves it.

  • Im K. Brown, there are 11 stages to the standard. I just showed a few on my vid. It was my 2nd time shooting it and my partner is one of the 2 guys that came up with the standard. I did better than him that day lol. Its done cold no warm ups. NO tac reloads only combat reloads. For the whole 11 stages if 6 or more rounds are outside the A box on the IPSC ur DQ'ed. If on just any one of the 11 stages u go over the target time ur DQed also. I have the whole standard on paper if u want it?

  • @merockunot Hey! Thanks for stoppin' in. I would love to see the full standards! PM me and I'll send you my email address.

  • @merockunot I too would love to see the full 11 stages. Please PM me also if you wouldnt mind. I regularly have some gun games for the family and friends here at my farm. Air Marshall qualifiers, IDPA classifiers, Glock matches. This would be a great one for us to play with.

  • you are the man ....

  • @OriginalTailhunter OTH! What's up my friend?!?!

  • @DeadeyeSteve Hanging out ... not as fun as when you used to stir up all the mess. :)

  • @OriginalTailhunter I still wander in and blast on off DA's chin every so often- just busy with other matters right now.

  • @MrSixxxr Now I'm jealous! I shot an H&K recent and was very impressed. I understood why a friend wears with pride his H&K No Compromise shirt. I've been eyeing a Sig 556 as well. You da man. If you are ever in San Antonio, send me a PM and the range time is on me (it's free for me and guests anyways so no biggy) but I can set up all sorta props for us to shoot.

  • @MrSixxxr Here is my advice for staying out of trouble with yer gat on the street:

1- Know the laws. Almost all trouble can be avoided by knowing when you are legally justified in shooting.

2- Know how to shoot. Should you ever be justified to shoot, you should be able to hit the target.

Invest 90% of your time knowing the law. Read the appropriate statutes weekly for the first month, then monthly for the rest of the first year. Every quarter after that.

    You should shoot weekly.

  • Really good work Steve.

  • @faisji Thanks, Bro.

  • i think its cool you include your son in these activities, i wish my dad taught me how to shoot when i was twelve

  • @BALJIT147 I think he will shoot the SEAL Team 6 Pistol Standards very soon.
