  • Love oscar great fighter

  • @prelude57 you have to put ODLH whoopin Chavez common mane!

  • oscar de la hoya was a bad mothafucka!

  • Can anyone please tell me the name of this song? Symphony?

  • @mikeyh1015 its in the description

  • look at delahoya, margarito, cotto, hatton, barerra, and morales highlights here on youtube that say "prime" in the video and watch them even as a filipino I think you'll realize timing and promoting have been very kind 2 manny

  • @liandriunreal well said. Call me crazy for thinking MM would beat Pac with a split or close decision. With that being said, I still think Pac is a beast with a TON of heart, hgh and will and I will root for him when that fight comes to fruition.

  • I don't like this video I FUCCIN LOVE IT De La Hoya is the shit..!!!

  • KING OF BOXING

  • He is the king of boxing

  • I agree jennifer, he beat plenty of prime fighters and some of them are legends not to mention guys that are hall of fame worthy, you pretty much showed the facts with your list no one can deny it and if they do they are haters. And yeah like many say in this video no doubt that if Oscar fought Manny from 95-03 Oscar beats a prime pacquiao. I also heard Oscar was seriously dehydrated for the fight, i think he had to drop from 160+ to 145 in only 2-3 weeks. Nice video of Oscar m8

None of the names you mentioned are legends...maybe HOF but no way legends. Legends are reserved for Ali, Robinson, Pep, etc...The only real legends oscar beat were JCC (at age 34 & 36) and Whitaker (33). Not exactly prime or young.

  • Comment removed

  • @jennifer8970

Hmm...don't see you ever mentioning Mexican legends/Mexico's legend, etc. Just plain Legends. Either way I'm not saying that Oscar did not faced any legends. In fact, he fought plenty of Legends: Hopkins, Mayweather, Pacquiao, Whitaker, JCC, maybe trinidad, Camacho and mosley. Fact is, he lost most of them.

"Oscar can't go back to the 80s and face Chavez. Again"

Neither does pacquiao. He can't go back to the 90s either and face oscar again.

  • @jennifer8970

Actually I was specifically referring to your other post. Anyway,It was not pac who drained oscar. Please, oscar was the one who cherry picked pac. Pac was a 130 lb fighter campainging at 135 at that time. OScar was supposed to challegend the winner between cotto vs marg but instead took the easy route and CHERRYPICKED the former flyweight. Anyway point is, he already had the size, power, experience, and reach advantage....asking for age advantage meant he's not really that good.

  • @jennifer8970

Indeed, Hopkins became the oldest champion....but at 175 weight class!! You are also right, it didn't matter that Oscar LOST to Hopkins..he will lose against hopkins at any age at any weight class because Hopkins is simply superior and oscar simply suck. He can't even beat a former flyweight at age 35. Oscar sucks plain and simple. Both Hopkins and Pacquiao are light-years ahead of him.

  • @jennifer8970

Yes, I am hating only in response to your hate to pac but I'm taking back what I said about how oscar sucks. He actually doesn't but he tends to show in comparison to the prime legend fighters he fought. Let's make it clear. Oscar cherrypicked the former 108 pac expecting to get an easy win, he lost and ur just hating on pac. Let's get real, 147 is the only reasonable weight class that pac and oscar could ever fought. Pac has only 1 fight above 130 at that time.

  • Comment removed

  • Well you did mentioned " Pacquiao took advantage of a dehydrated old De La Hoya that fought like a statue."

That's hate talk in my interpretation. Let's not forget, osacar was the one who took advantage over the former flyweight. All of the sudden, he lost the fight then that changes everything? No, oscar had the skills, power, reach, height, etc, yet pac who was a former flyweight but supposedly younger now had all the advantage...Numbers alone doesn't determine age in boxing.

  • DeLe Hoya is the most overratted fighter of all time. Name ONE big fight he actually won? You can make a case Ike Quartey even beat him. Pernell Whitaker defintely beat him. They just like promoting Mexican fighters because that fan base actually pays to see fights. They tried to do it with Sergio Mora from the Contender tv show. But when he fought a fighter that's actually good, Shane Mosley. He lost. Haven't even heard about him since. And he cross dresses. Disgrace. Rehab loser.

  • @whayes8084 julio cesar chavez. probably one of the top 10 boxers of all time! muppet

  • @jaaaybs1988 I agree. What's your point?

  • @whayes8084 i quote "Name ONE big fight he actually won?"

  • @whayes8084 he beat gatti......

  • @whayes8084 ODLH is probably one of the most underrated fighter in the last 20 years. He fought everyone ... Pernell is a fkn joke and was just clowning around the whole fight. I am not denying that promoters market fighters but to say ODLH is overrated is a joke.

  • Oscar De La Hoya was notorious for punching and running, glad to see Hopkins make him buckle!

  • wow i expected this to be a video what a waste of my time.. no one wants to see pics bro they'd just google images him if they did..

  • fuck this fucking song damnit fucking gayer than a bag of dicks

  • this song dosent fit him

  • @cardiffyouth Kinda funny you say that because i though the body shot Hopkins Stop him with looked pretty weak, and Oscar looked like he was acting a little too hard while pounding on the canvas in anger. Two weeks later they are in buisness together !

  • 249 ppl did not like this,r they fucking retarded??????

  • Great vid

  • You should name this the Best Oscar De lay Hoya slideshow ever, but even that'd be a lie.

  • my favorite was the massacre of big mouth mayorga !!!!!

  • do rematch and beat that nigger floyd !!!!!!!

  • dadsa

  • This Guy Is So Over Rated... They Say He Runs After All The Big Name Boxer's That's Courage But There's No Use If You Keep Loosing To Them,

    Lost To Manny Pacquiao.

    Lost To Felix Trinidad.

    Lost to Bernard Hopkins.

    Lost To Floyd Mayweather Jr.

    Lost To Shane Mosley Twice

He Fought Some Tough Guy's But The Only Serious Contender Was Arturo Gatti

    Think About it

  • @issack11 thank u..over hyped because of gold medals and lost all his main fights yea what a gr8 champion...he came back for pacquiao cause he was short and he thought he can dance around for 12 rounds but he almost got killed every round and i loved it..

  • @glensoto Hahaha! Keep relying on your wikipedia facts to judge the greatness of a fighter. Atleast Oscar wasn't getting knocked out by body shots from nobodies when he was young like your boy Pacquiao, he was winning olympic medals. Prime Oscar fought better guys than Pacquaio will ever face. UNDEFEATED Trinidad, UNDEFEATED Mosley, De La Hoya ended Vargas' career. People seem to forget that he almost beat UNDEFEATED Mayweather as well. De Lay Hoya in his prime would KO Pacman and Mayweather.

  • @b0x1n9f4n paquio is not my boy just know hes da best pound for pound your boy de la hoya lost all his big fights i think instead of sayin he fought better guys u meant to say he lost to most top fighters..vargas wasnt that good he was to scare to stand toe-2-toe with trinidad and wen he did trinidad was taggin him so he ran again he was crown chicken de la hoya by da chavez mosley wasnt undefeated wehn he fought hoya get that str8 has for mayweather HE LOST bottom line. mayorga was garbage.

  • @glensoto Wow, your just stupid. Vargas wasn't that good? Prime Vargas is better than anyone Pacquiao has fought at 147 period. Prime Cotto, Hatton, Clottey just aren't as good as prime Vargas. Let's not forget Vargas was also on roids when Oscar beat him He completely outclassed Tito and won the fight so I don't know how you can criticize him there when Marquez has been robbed twice against Pacquiao. And Mosley was undefeated when Oscar fought him so you obviously don't know boxing.

  • @glensoto Let's not forget Mosley was also on roids when they fought. Did Chavez really call De La Hoya a "chicken" musta been cuz he was angry cuz Oscar ended his 88 fight win streak. And how bad was his loss to Mayweather really? He already had 4 losses and had been KO'd once, was fighting less than once a year and arguably still beat Mayweather at 35 years old, it was a split decision win for. How pathetic of you to insult a great fighter, then try to break it down into something logical.

  • @b0x1n9f4n lol..ur a joke de la chicken didnt end chavez 88 streak it had been ended by then he had a couple of losses also a draw...he lost to mayweather thats da bottom-line another lost to a big name fighter thats all he ever did loose to big name fighters...mayweather is a lil bitch for not fightin paquio...boxin is full of politics thats y i watch MMA fuck boxing and pussy fighter like de la chicken..

  • @glensoto no, ur the joke. you keep bouncing around and changing subjects like you don't know how to have a conversation, which is a tell-tale sign that you don't work for a living. you use no logic to insult de la hoya, you just say he's a chicken, when he's hands down fought the most difficult competition of any boxer in the past 20 years. and de la hoya may have not ended chavez's win streak but he was the first to do it convincingly, up until oscar chavez had only been beat by SD.

  • @glensoto If youre going to say all de la hoya did was lose to big name fighters, then I'm gonna say all pacquiao did was beat bums and old wash-ups. I've explained why oscar is great, you cant seem to explain why he isn't. I'm just gonna break it down cut and dry so your simple ass can understand.

PRIME OSCAR DE LA HOYA WOULD KNOCK PACQUIAO THE FUCK OUT.

  • @b0x1n9f4n in ur dreams pepe

  • A prime ODLH would have destroyed Pacquiao and done away with Mayweather

  • @u82zar are u retarted he could have never beat mayweather he really did not even beat a old sweet p

  • @DANGEROUSKO86 Most people think he did beat Mayweather, Myself included. After the fight Mayweather Sr. even said Oscar won !

  • @u82zar fuck yes man. delahoya would have destroyed both of them if he was in his prime.

  • @u82zar DLH is no doubt a great boxer, but I don't think he would beat Pacquiao. The style wouldn't allow it, especially Manny's speed. His speed, power, and angles kill. Not taking anything away from DLH, Manny is just too good.

  • @u82zar saying OLDH in his prime would lose to May and Pac is like saying that George Bush doesn't lie.

  • @MannyMMA Everybody lies includeing yourself and your Mom

  • @blazn1981 lol your not even worth the arguement kid

  • @vladiator100

De la hoya already has the size, power, experience, and reach advantage against a midget with two KOs and has zero welter weight experience....now your're asking him for an age advantage, what a lame ass boxer. He himself dragged Hopkins to 155 and still got whooped. Add to that hopkins was 39!!

  • Comment removed

  • @vladiator100

actually oscar was 150 against forbes before fighting pac. Delahoya dragged the 39 Hopkins to a catch-weight but got owned. The 35 Delahoya cherrypicked the lightweight pacquiao and quit. The size difference between Oscar and Manny is bigger between Oscar and Hop. Manny's heaviest ever in-ring weight is around 148....that's still a natural lightweights rehydrated weight. Fact, oscar cherrypicked the midget but got away because pac won the fight.

  • Comment removed

  • @vladiator100

Actually u mentioned that DLH was coming down to 145 from 154/155. WHICH IS NOT A FACT. he was actually 150 against a man called FORBES! Do some research!

Duh!! Bhop is of course bigger than DLH which only makes my argument much stronger. It's seem okay for DLH to dragged a 39 year old light heavy/middle down to 150 but you CRY when the 35 year old oscar has to cut down 5 lbs against a former midget weight. Also DLH just got arrested and BHop just became the oldest champ haha

  • Comment removed

  • @u82zar A prime DeLaHoya barely beat Pernell Whitaker. Tell DeLaHoya to go put on another dress. Rehab loser.

  • @whayes8084 bullsht, Whitaker didnt want to fight in the fight. Whitaker kept clowning around in the ring but ODLH still took it to him.

  • Comment removed

  • I hate the way people bash on De la hoya... when he was in his prime everyone loved him,, but by the end of his career people start hating.. come on people,, kings don't rule forever.. enjoy the entertainment he has brought us, and respect the man's accomplishments.

  • De la Hoya vs Chavez?? c'mon, every mexican knows you gots to give props to a legend.. regardless if ur parents were born in Mex n u in US...

  • man good vid but dislike the music u chose

  • Quien iba a pensar q años mas tarde oscar se iba a vestir de mujer!!

  • 0:32 HE FOUGHT OBAMA !?!

  • Somebody should change his boxing Record in Wikipedia. He only had 38 victories. There was a man called Felix Sturm who fucked his ass!!

  • @BuechnersMax you mean fucked his ass no homo

  • @BuechnersMax you must be freebasing felix sturm's sperm! it was a close fight- i gave it to DLH -but in no way shape or form did felix sturm "whoop" DLH's ass. di you even see the fight? do you even watch Boxing?

  • @ThisLittleBlackBook

Yes, i saw the fight. Every single round! Maybe its wrong to say that DLH got owned by Sturm but the dicision was a joke!! Sturm landing 234 of 541 punches, while De La Hoya landing 188 of 792, thats the truth !!

..and all because of the upcoming fight against hopkins.

  • @BuechnersMax oscar de la hoya might fight ricky hatton he needs to fight sergio martinez

  • @matrixlone

What are u talking about?! My comment was all about the fight DLH vs. STURM and DLH. vs Hopkins..

  • mma is cool but not with all that hugging shit. BOXING is legend with DE LA HOYA

  • HE'S THE 1 FUCK CHAVEZ HE TOOK OVER THE RING CHAVEZ LOW SHIT THAT U CAN STEP

  • He looks scary at 1:00

  • @TheLilPimp112 1:00 He went Popeye the sailer man on his ass!

  • 243 DUMB MOTHERFUCKERS DIDN'T LIKE THIS VIDEO!

  • A slideshow? This video is pure shite

  • he was the best offensive boxer i have seen to his categorie, the way he had get in it was the best..5 five belts in 4 categories..u are the chmp men..

  • he was the best offensive boxer i have seen to his categorie, the way he had get in it was the best..

  • You can slice him, you can dice him, BUT HE JUST KEEPS ON COMING ><

  • @strobuz the mosley fights could of gone either way by the time with floyd he was already washed up trindad was stolen from oscar after he dominated the entire fight.

  • Cual es el nombre del tema?

    What is the name song?

  • Tribute

  • DLH one of the greatest, a legend, a very successful fighter and business man, another great warrior with that Aztec blood

  • oscar de la hoya , documentary , uplaoded on my account

  • i have never seen de la hoya with a big cut on his eye exept in the first pic

  • fuck this song, it so over used!!!!

  • oscar is very good fighter and have very good character

  • ordentlicher kraftjohnny

  • de la Hoya is in the Strikeforce promotion team right?

I never really watched boxing and didn't know him, I thought he was some fashion designer guy or some :) But after watching his fights against Mayweather etc. I must say I was wrong man. Tons of respect for la Hoya. He's a real man.

  • my favorite boxer in the middle weight category ... awesome guy !

  • golden boyyyyy

  • everytime i watch it makes me want to fight

  • Pound for Pound Rank 29 all Time? LMFAO!!

    vs. Pacquiao (Lost)

    vs. Floyd Mayweather (Lost)

    vs. Bernard Hopkins (Lost)

    vs. Shane Mosley (Lost)

    vs. Shane Mosley (Lost)

    vs. Felix Trinidad (Lost)

    WTF???

  • @strobuz Half of those loses shouldn't even count. He was clearly robbed against Trinidad, and Mosley was on drugs.

  • Comment removed

  • @strobuz put his wins y dont u put that huh

  • @strobuz he was already old by then fool

  • @strobuz well let look at it Pac-man To old and under weight had not fought that weight in 13 years Mayweather he was not active enough to do anything but still a good fight Bernard to big and strong I've give Delahoya a lot of credit for fighting him Shane Mosley# 2 ,Oscar won that fight by 2 round , and the fact that mosley was on steroids should also be a given.

Felix Trinidad ,"shit" He did win ! the real winner that night was Don King!!

  • @amesquita11 Can't believe some homos still bring up his "losses" against Trinidad and Mosley#2 as if they were legit losses.

And you're right, the fight with the ugly little roid monkey didn't mean shit either.

  • mad props oscar always had mad heart and a warriors mentality, u could hit him and he would come right back throwing....dint matter if he was losing he was always willing to throw down....U have to admire the guys courage and determination especially getting the gold after his mom's death and his business skills, he is probably only one of the few boxers who has more money after he retired from fighting

  • Some put down De La Hoya for not giving his boxing career his all and for being in other ventures that kept him from becoming a truly great fighter. I think he was a great fighter and I can't really blame him for capitalizing on his looks and his marketability. At least he did give it his all in the ring except against Pacquiao...more than likely a juiced up Pacquiao. De La Hoya is set for life now.

  • a prime de la Hoya was really special. I would put my money on prime De la Hoya against Mayweather. And yes, I don't care what anyone says.

  • De la hoya wasn't really a great fighter he beat Julio Cesar Chavez at the same downfall moment that manny beat de la hoya. Then he went on to beat who not really some big names. Trinidad came in and wooped him. De la hoya is simply the best promoter out there.

  • @MrJuanatx512 He's not bad. But he was sorta out of his prime as well as comfort zone coming down few weights to vs pacquiao. simply put two fighters from different weight divisions can't fight. You have slow but powerful punching or fast counter with style. Slow and powerful cant beat fast effective punches when you've lost that power.

  • he was he just got old...like mosely

  • Oscar Phenomenal De La Hoya

  • de la hoya is da best no questions all heart

  • i have his book and his autograph

  • Manny Pacman Pacquiao destroyed him !!!!!!

  • @MzRica10 He beat an old de la hoya who was at the end of his career, I would like to see paquiao get in the ring against a 90s early 00s de la hoya, paquiao would be the one who would get destroyed and much worse.

  • @NyyGyro Yeah bro. DLH is a great man in many respects. He is a star in every respect. Paquio is only a boxer.

  • @MzRica10 yea but an old man he was... not only that but Oscar had to come down in weight so he was weak and dehydrated. Manny likes to fight guys at a catchweight which pretty unfair, its a fact.

  • This video sucks man stop lying on your title's

you should call it worst de la hoya video ever

and im sick of everyone using that shitty music on every fuckin video

  • This video was made 4 years ago... LEast you could do is show respect. Where's your highlights of ODLH?...

  • not even a video

  • i flat out miss watching his fights. My family used to have big gatherings every fight he had, it was like a holiday for us chicanos. VIVA OSCAR DE LA HOYA!!

  • transexual or not he ROOOCKS!!!!

  • One thing that cannot be argued DLH never ducked anyone, always chased the big fight.

  • @blacksheepotano amen to that

  • @blacksheepotano I was just thinking that wish he didn't get old man

  • @blacksheepotano he ducked antonio margarito to fight manny pacquiao instead thinking that he would dominate the much smaller man.

  • @FrYLocK41 Dude if you think Manny Pacquiao is the smaller man!!!! Your're and idiot.... He went for the one man even Pretty Boy Floyd is duckin... So don't be a hater he just wanted to fight the best there is and Manny and Floyd were the best... He wasn't like Floyd Mayweather fighting Ricky Hatton or Miguel Cotto.. The man is a real old school FIGHTER!!!

  • @blacksheepotano Your Right He Chased The Big Fight's That's Courage... But There's No Use If You Keep Loosing To Them.

    Lost To Manny Pacquiao.

    Lost To Bernard Hopkins.

    Lost To Felix Trinidad.

    Lost To Floyd Mayweather Jr.

    Lost To Shane Mosley Twice

The 6 Losses On His Career Came From The True Champion's Of The Game

He Fought Some Tough Guy's But The Only Serious Contender Was Arturo Gatti.

    Think About it...

  • @issack11 julio cesar chavez. 88 wins in a row till he fought de la hoya. sounds like a pretty serious contender to me. as well as that, pacquiao and mayweather are the 2 top rated p4p fighters in the world, trinidad, hopkins and mosley are all among the top rated as well. hopkins is still flogging people at 45 years old. so just because oscar lost to some of the best fighters of all time, doesn't mean he's bad.

  • @issack11 chicken de-la hoya was over hyped just cause he won those gold medals..

  • Fuck now Im on a rant and cant stop! lol The last thing I will say is, I really study every single movement of my favorite fighters in certain fights. I HATE Mayweather, but he is truly awesome. Watching his body movement and timing is amazing, Oscar has had some fights where he looked pathetic, but there are fights in the past if you pay close attention you can tell he was truly skilled. One of the best left jab and left hook EVER, and he was fast and had good foot work back in the day

  • a prime dela hoya was a beast, i dont care what anyone says

  • @dcvien Exactly. Thank you

  • @dcvien a beast where and when?

  • he's amateur career: wins 223 163 by ko losing only 6.

he took the tuff mayorga to school, who beat big and strong vernon forest twice, who beat former p4p king mosley twice. he murdered gatti, wooped ike quartey who was the undefeated champ at the time, should've won against mosley in their rematch, beat pernell whitaker one greatest of all time, got robbed against tito trinidad one of the best welterweights of all time, first fighter ever to wn 6 titles in 6 weight classes.

  • is that enough to convince you?

  • mid 90's to early 2000's to be exact, former pound for pound #1

  • @dcvien Hell yea he was

  • @dcvien i will have to agree he had a mean ass jab and a beautiful left hook

  • @dcvien i agree with you my brother. i started boxing after seeing the great man fight pernil witiker.

  • @dcvien pure ANIMAL!!!

  • @papoose1223 yes he was, he never ducked anyone thats for sure

  • @dcvien yea man called out B hop too!!

  • @papoose1223 yep. i think the vargas win was he's best ever. it put a spark back into he's career.

in my opinion after the floyd fight he should have moved up to 160, he would have given alot of top guys in that division problems. fighting pacquiao at 147 was stupid.

  • @dcvien yea man. second he started talking about his family i knew he was going to lose and retire!~!!

  • @dcvien do you think he hit his prime too early?

  • @papoose1223 hmmm no i dont think so. everyone peaks at different times. i think he had a good career regardless

  • i respect your opinion ,and its true that he is the richest boxer in history ,but after speaking to insiders that know boxing DLH is not a legend by any means winning only 39 fights and most early in a career that he fought small guys and others past their prime, look at his fights ,he fights scared and with a not to lose attitude ,he can never come close to a DURAN or RAY LENERD,look who these guys fought ,i hope you can respect the opinion of someone who has been attending boxing for 37 years

  • @maxpuerco Man come on, I respect YOUR opinion too, but seriously? You seem to me like one of the "its cool to bash De La Hoya" people. The man didn't win the 92 olympics for the US and knock out as many guys as he did by "fighting scared". He absolutely did NOT lose all of his big fights like everybody says. He did beat an undefeated Trinidad and after losing to Mosely came back and beat him. Watch the fights, he out boxed both of them, I dont care what the records say. He was great

  • @ncj25 I agree that he wasnt the greatest, but he was pound for pound the best fighter in the world in 1995. He made bad decisions and didnt train hard enough for some fights that he lost, he let the money go to his head, but he still had the balls to get in the ring with the BEST fighters out there. That's what is lacking these days, people that have the balls to get in the ring with anybody out there. He wasnt an intimidating fighter like Tyson, but I dont think the man was "scared" of anybody

  • @maxpuerco Nobody respects your opinion regardless of the time period you've watched boxing because you don't make sense.

Not a legend by any means huh? I love how people are quick to point out Mosley's skills and shit when in reality DLH outboxed him in their rematch while Mosley ON roids.

And I'm pretty sure you'll go far getting respect for your opinions by calling an Olympic gold medalist a "golden fag", you dipshit jealous motherfucker.

  • whats with the profanity ,you have your opinion and thats fine but i am not going to insult you just because i dont agree with you,you obviously have homosexual tendencies towards oscar in defending him so vigorously i wonder what has DLH has done for you so you can lower yourself?

  • @maxpuerco He's given the sport great fights and I look up to him business wise.

You're the homo who's always mentioning his supposed and ungrounded "fagness" and degrading his accomplishments. You're the one who might have tendencies.

  • @MoneysnHoneys How can anyone deny DLH?? people here is ingorant

  • lets not 4get hes da most paid boxer ever and still gettin paid 3rd overall most paid athlete and plus he promotes shane mosley bernard hopkins half of mayweather and half of pacman all dem r moneymakers

  • we all have a right of free expression ,whats up with removing the negative comments on this crossdresser ,good or bad we all have an opinion ,without been vulgar ,this posting is a total fraud like the golden fag in question

  • Show some class dude. Everyone knows he's a great fighter, and the richest fighter in boxing history....if you can't respect a fighter like Oscar, you can't respect anyone

  • search my fight (MERNARD 3 ROUND)im da kid in white tank top n white adidas rate it plz

  • Cool music
