  • Thank you for your recipe. I do a similar recipe but with an Italian merengue. But after a while a lot of almibar ( juice from the eggs and sugar) is coming out. Can you tell me what to do to avoid it?? Thank you!!!

  • @Blancapn Eat it quickly :-)

  • can we have all the measurements in grams please i dont use the cup system and dont know what 2 cups of flower and 1 cup of sugar is is it 300G flower 200g sugar????

  • i live in Karachi and the lemons are really small, so could you tell how many tablespoons of lemon juice did you use

  • @1979bigfan 1 "norma"l lemon gives about 2 tbsp of juice

  • dont add all the sugar at once to get a thicker meringue

  • I really looove your videos! hahha They make me more motivated to cook hahah :D You're a splendid Chef and funny too! hhahah I really enjoy watching your videos! :D

  • Apologies for my last comment, all I'd like to say is thanks for this lovely and clear recipe. Thanks!

  • @hannab98 Not a problem :-) I thought you were going to finish your comment becuase you ened with a , :-)

  • Can u use the topping as a replacing for frosting and can you use granular sugar

  • @TheAryalover You can use granular sugar, yes. However the final meringue may not be as perfect as if you use caster sugar. The meringue needs to be cooked before eating, so it depends on what kind of cake you want to use it on.

  • Salaam Titli,

  • I really enjoy watching your videos because

    1. They make me hungry

    2. They make me laugh

    Thank you very much! :)

  • I AM WONDERING BUT COULD I USE LIME INSREAD OF LEMON? X

  • @michellesvideosuk Yes. Make a Key Lime Pie with a meringue topping.

  • Hey Titli. My LMP is in the oven now, but the filling was really really gooey ooey. Maybe It's because I used potato starch, instead of corn starch. By the way... I love you Titli. Have you ever been in Lithuania? :D

  • @edvinasal It should still be OK even if it's gooey. I've never been to Lithuania but you can see where I HAVE been by visiting my website :-)

  • Is it possible to use lime or Orange juice instead? wounder video btw, I love your vids! thanks!

  • @BreyersaRS Yes it is. On my website in the notes for this recipe I suggest ingredients for an Orange Meringue Pie. For lime meringue pie, make a Key Lime Pie with a meringue :-)

  • awesome I making this for my mums birthday this sunday XD and also a great recipe that I use for pastry which tastes great is 1/2 lard and 1/2 butter for the fat its just so delicious XD

  • You're so cute!!

  • Interesante!! Gracias, lo probare ;D

  • Can someone help me because when i tried to make the merigne it wouldn't become glossy.

  • Can someone help me ?? The lemon curd never boils when i cook it , it just turns thick........

  • @TheBunkitty Thick is good :-)

  • can we substitute with banana?

  • @zafirah1510 You could probably substitute the lemon curd layer with a banana custard layer! That should work!

  • can we substitute the lemon with chocolate or something?

  • @zafirah1510 You can substitute it with oranges or limes. On my website I give the recipe for the variation with oranges

  • great recipe, and deffo eat it naked LOL

  • Howdy Miss Titli! Love your vids! I have this pie in my oven right now-(the orange version). Being American, its timeconsuming doing the conversions but hey, nothing worthwhile is easy, right? Anywho....the pie is baking away, and thanks for the joy you bring :-)

  • @BarleyJack72 You've just reminded me that I need to do some conversions on some of the earlier recipes on my website. Thanks!

  • I made this recipe yesterday and the egg yolks tasted horrible in this pie !

    I think i made a fault . :(

    Love your videos. =)

  • @lilabumsemaus Not enough lemon?

  • Titli: Thanks a lot for sharing this delicious recipe. Greetings from Mexico. :)

  • Can I Ask, what was the heat you cooked the lemon curd at ? and how on earth did you get the pie out of the tin??? :)

  • @hotdog1997 I don't see why not, as long as it is large enough to hold the pie filling.

  • hahahaha i love your whisk!!! its so cute

  • i made this, and stored the leftover lemon curd in a jar in the fridge.... NOOOOOOO, big mistake !!! i went to put some on my toast a week later and the jar nearly exploded when i took the lid off... it was bubbling like a witches brew. eeeewwwww... !!! how do i make lemon curd that i can keep ? (not forever obv just like jam would keep lol)

  • @musclelimit LOL! I wonder what caused that? Was the jar clean and sterile?

  • @TitliNihaan *blush*... errr, probably not! so if I did put it in a sterile jar and just made it as this recipe would it store ok ?

  • @musclelimit Probably for about 1 week

  • this was on my B-Day good Thing

  • what does the rind add to the recipe, nice taste or what?

  • @J3ofHearts Extra sharpness in the filling

  • loved you !!!

  • I love your videos! Wassalam!

  • Can I use a cornstarch to filling? Thanks.

  • hehe...."titli"....

  • Just thought i'd say to all who want to know in england we call corn starch, corn flour same thing different name lol

  • Thumbs up if you only knew about this because of my wife and kids

  • Lawl , "...and then I'll beat them with a whisk. Yeah, right, as if I'm going to use that..."

  • can I use corn starch or regular flour too?

  • @OriMedian corn flour is the same as corn starch

  • @TitliNihaan It is? Never knew o.o The world as I know it is upside down! D:

  • @OriMedian You say tomayto, I say tomarto, you say corn starch, I say corn flour...

  • @TitliNihaan I say Tomarto too! I'm english. :L Well, not english, dutch, actually but I despise the American accent. I CURSE IT!

  • @OriMedian regular flour is made of wheat.... it doesnt have the same texture as corn starch and it takes longer for it to cook.

  • Titli tu ne croiras jamais ça.Je viens de vois une recette de tarte au citron à la tv avec 540 g de sucre et plus de 600g de beurre et c'était une tarte pour 4 à 6 personnes!!!Qu'est ce que t'en penses?

  • They make a wonderful variation of lemon meringue pie at the B&O Espresso, in Seattle.

My friend, Jeff, worked out a reasonable facsimile, by adding a cup of sour cream to the lemon curd, after it's cooked, but before it's poured into the crust!

    It's divoon!

At B&O, they use whipped cream on top, instead of the meringue, but I really like to make meringue, and it keeps better!

  • What's corn flour? is that corn starch? Sorry, not very good at this cooking stuff ! :-)

  • Hi! This is a great recipe and sooo easy...I had ni idea I could make a Lemon meringue pie as delicious as my mothers and grandmothers! I made this 1st for New Years and now My husband is asking for it to be made for our Sunday family dinner. Thank you Titli!

  • I made the pie last weekend. Big succes! Everybody loved it!

Your videos are fantastic - you explain things very well.

Best regards from a Dutch fan!

  • Hi Titli: Thanks for the recipe. I made this yesterday. But when I cut it, there was a clear liquid at the bottom. :( I donno what I did wrong. I followed your recipe exactly. My husband drained the water and put it in the refrigerator and when I thought I failed, he tasted it and said it was delicious. I tried it and he was right. We finished up the whole pie. I want to make it again for some guests and was wondering if you could enlighten me on what I did wrong. Thanks so much.

  • @bujjisari Did you try again with my suggestions?

  • @TitliNihaan I did try this yesterday. And you were right. Last time I let the lemon custard cool down before I put the meringue on it. This time I did two things right. I used powdered sugar in the egg white to make the meringue and let it incorporate fully and added it to the custard when it was hot. It was perfect. I am Indian and my in-laws thought I bought it at a store. It was delicious. This is our favorite desert Titli. Thank you soo much for sharing this wonderful recipe and Eid Mubarak

  • @bujjisari I'm so pleased for you! Congratulations!!! :-D

  • I just drooled!

  • @Myazitah I hope you cleaned up your drool.

  • Love ur videos, ur videos have made my kitchen busy too, 5 stars, hats off

  • @BATOOLPINKY Hooray! I love it when I inspire people :-)

  • Thank you, Titli. This was one of my mom's specialties and my favourite dessert as well.

  • Love your video :)

  • do you think that putting wheat flour would be the same as corn flour? Here in Italy we just have corn flour for POLENTA..it's quite different from the one in the video.

    Can you help me?

    thanks a lot

  • @Ermanna76 Corn flour is corn starch (amido di mais?)

  • @TitliNihaan okkkkkkk I've done it!thanks :)))))

  • @TitliNihaan Sorry but I think corn flour is quite different from corn starch ? corn flour is used for taco tortillas, whereas cornstarch is used for thickening sauces... non? corn flour is yellow, cornstarch white... In the US polenta is made with corn meal, something alltogether. differrent.. or am I mixing everything up here ???

  • @anisete46 In the UK we call it "corn flour", but in the US it is "corn starch". And it IS different from corn meal! It's all very confusing!

  • @TitliNihaan & @Ermanna76: yes, in Italy corn starch is either called amido di mais or maizena.

  • @TitliNihaan: yes, in Italy corn starch is either called amido di mais or maizena.

  • @Pokankuni

In Mexico corn starch is called fecula de maíz or maizena also. I just found that curious, lol.

  • Your videos are great, many many thanks, cheers from Italy!!!

  • bravo!!!!

  • looks delishhhhh.....

  • Je me répète cette tarte j'en rêve presque la nuit je vais finir par la faire et tant pis si je doid la manger à moi toute seule

  • @DreamBubble101 Aha! The best thing to do would be to follow the recipe exactly (3 lemons) and test the curd after you have cooked it. If there is not enough "lemoniness" for you, add the juice of another lemon.

  • You are truely amazing! you remind me of my mom ( totally desifyed caucasian women)

    Thanks for posting!

  • C'est vrai que cette tarte a l'air tout simplement F A B U L E U X !!!!merci Titli

  • oohh my god !!

i'm so hungry right now !!

    i want a lemon meringue pie !!!

  • It looks amazing! I just made them in a miniature version (tarts ... in muffin forms) and I must admit... once you start eating, it is hard to stop before all of it is gone. Light and fluffy, sticky but simple, sweet but sour... Honestly, this must be one of the best deserts in the whole wide world!

Thank you for sharing with us! You are an amazing phenomenon! :)

  • @Schoko84 Absolument d'accord avec vous

  • @Schoko84 Glad to hear someone else loves LMP as much as I do!

  • MMM it looks delicious!

  • @Bubusetteteable I love LMP :-)

  • I wonder if the egg yolk would cook if the lemon juice mixture is hot?

do i need to wait till it cold b4 adding in the egg yolk and butter?

  • @mentholights The egg yolk will "cook" when you add it to the mix. Just make sure you stir the mixture when you add the egg.

  • ummmmmmmmsdfmmmm/.....Delicioussss.....

  • ummmmmmmmmmmm/.....Delicioussss.....

  • Lovely pie, Titli! Is corn flour and corn starch the same thing? I don't recall ever seeing corn flour at the market?
