this looks absolutely yummm!!:) Titli, can u plz share a pie crust recipe? cause in BD, we don't get the ready pie case/crust. plz help!! would love to try this one.
@TheAryalover You can use granular sugar, yes. However the final meringue may not be as perfect as if you use caster sugar. The meringue needs to be cooked before eating, so it depends on what kind of cake you want to use it on.
Hey Titli. My LMP is in the oven now, but the filling was really really gooey ooey. Maybe It's because I used potato starch, instead of corn starch. By the way... I love you Titli. Have you ever been in Lithuania? :D
@BreyersaRS Yes it is. On my website in the notes for this recipe I suggest ingredients for an Orange Meringue Pie. For lime meringue pie, make a Key Lime Pie with a meringue :-)

They make a wonderful variation of lemon meringue pie at the B&O Espresso, in Seattle.
My friend, Jeff, worked out a reasonable facsimile, by adding a cup of sour cream to the lemon curd, after it's cooked, but before it's poured into the crust!
It's divoon!
At B&O, they use whipped cream on top, instead of the meringue, but I really like to make meringue, and it keeps better!

Hi Titli: Thanks for the recipe. I made this yesterday. But when I cut it, there was a clear liquid at the bottom. :( I donno what I did wrong. I followed your recipe exactly. My husband drained the water and put it in the refrigerator and when I thought I failed, he tasted it and said it was delicious. I tried it and he was right. We finished up the whole pie. I want to make it again for some guests and was wondering if you could enlighten me on what I did wrong. Thanks so much.
@TitliNihaan I did try this yesterday. And you were right. Last time I let the lemon custard cool down before I put the meringue on it. This time I did two things right. I used powdered sugar in the egg white to make the meringue and let it incorporate fully and added it to the custard when it was hot. It was perfect. I am Indian and my in-laws thought I bought it at a store. It was delicious. This is our favorite desert Titli. Thank you soo much for sharing this wonderful recipe and Eid Mubarak
do you think that putting wheat flour would be the same as corn flour? Here in Italy we just have corn flour for POLENTA..it's quite different from the one in the video.
@TitliNihaan Sorry but I think corn flour is quite different from corn starch ? corn flour is used for taco tortillas, whereas cornstarch is used for thickening sauces... non? corn flour is yellow, cornstarch white... @DreamBubble101 Aha! The best thing to do would be to follow the recipe exactly (3 lemons) and test the curd after you have cooked it. If there is not enough "lemoniness" for you, add the juice of another lemon.
