Is this using autopilot, or do you fly the plane manually? I see dials and buttons being pushed but it's too dark to see if you are using the throttles and control column. Is flight simulator game that detailed?

WOW!!! I hate Airbus, but hey, if there are real thrust levers, real fms, real switches, and real overhead panel, oh one more and real flight controls, I would be there ALL DAY and ALL NIGHT!
@Krutzo11 no that is way over its all about how you want it to look, say if you want buttons instead of screens(like the video) each panel can range from about $50 to @200(depends where you buy it from) and just start building. I would say that this cost him about $1500-$2500
@233kosta What kind of real world aircraft do you fly? In the real world A319s and 320s I fly, there is no way the autothrust would command TOGA after touchdown unless I physically advance the thrust levers forward into the TOGA detent. Sounds like someone's trying to look clever, but actually doesn't know what he's talking about!
@richygambs321 Exactly. Look again and you will see that this is a reply to an earlier comment from '233kosta', who seems to think that that is what would happen in the real aircraft.
hy i am an absolutly beginner in building cockpits wich software can i use to take the instruments on a other monitor, and is there any instruction how that works thank a lot
@RADIOACTIVEBUNY sure, if you find £125,000 you might be able to do this for 500 hours for easyjet or ryanair. i'd rather spend that sort of money on a home sim and keep a stable, well paid job, then i can play airline pilot for as long as i like ;)
I spend nearly all of my savings on a 4000 $ PC to play FSX ,, please I am thrilled to know where could I buy an A320 home cockpit, and how much does it cost???/
I have always wanted to try one of the flying sims and that set up looks amazing. The one thing that bothers me though is the speed of the landing did not look very natural. It sort of stopped right on landing and then slowly made it's stop instead of hitting the ground fast and then pulling the flaps up and slowing down or what ever you do.
@Sparta2310 If you (or anyone else for the matter) want to know a bit more about flying real aircraft(and AIRBUS simulations) pm me, I'll help out as much as I can.
@omgallusuck lol no you cant because you build them for different aircraft models. and no matter what you do its gonna cost you thousands, just so you know
@omgallusuck whoaaaaa you dont need the skills. people go into these projects not having a clue what they're doing and end up with innovative new designs and homemade wonders. you just need the ambition... and the money, unfortunately you still need that.
Since we're on the topic of landings, I'd say (coming from a real world pilot) he didn''t look like he "wanted" to land. Meaning, he started the flare a bit high(looked like about 100ft ot me), cut the AP too soon and didn't disengage the aotuthrottle. That being said, it was not a "good" landing, but a "GREAT" one by definition. The only reasons it wasn't a textbook one were he flared too early and "balooned" it(climbed after the flare). I'd say even the best make mistakes from time to time.
@pocketokun Did you see the green light in the middle of the FCU(just below the AP1 and AP2)? That's the AT or Auto Throttle. If it's left on after touch down it WILL go to full power for an overshoot(or in America - TOGA). It normally disengages automatically when the pilot engages reverse thrust(signaled by the voice command "RETARD"). I'd say he did that a bit too late, rather than going too fast.
It is an awesome sim, but seriously? You had nothing set up on the MCDU, your ECAM Memo shows everything on blue, you are flying it with only the FCU.... if i was to invest that much money and time, I wouldnt fly an A320 as a DC8
next video you make, can you make it so the camera doesn't have anything in the way, like the windshield support. Also, try not to dip the nose of the aircraft towards the runway, otherwise you'll be too quick at smaller airports.
Great setup. It takes a level of intelligence to build something like this. I respect that. I share this hobby with you. My setup is not to this level. Good job!
I haven't got your impressive setup, but using something called "Multi Crew Experience", i can simulate normal cockpit operations through voice commands. I just bark orders, and the slave (a.k.a co-pilot) executes for me. :-))
Unusual choice for a home cockpit. The A320 is the grocery getter of airliners. Good looking cockpit for the most part, but kind of odd that the overhead panel and window frames are projected though.
Airliner pilot is hardly a life these days, if you can find a job then you will likely be under payed... most simulator enthusiasts have another job and just do this for fun so that they don't have to worry about employment.

Very nice equipment you have.
Of course I don' know how realistic you want to be "playing" but deriving from the simulator you got I think you are quite serious about it.
Just 2 thing about your landing:
- Don't start flaring before you have reached 30ft AGL. When you don't get it on the gorund because you are too fast, initiate a go around
- Thrust reversers normaly are only used down to 60-80 knots. I think you just them a lot longer.
Nevertheless: great video.
Have fun!
