The old black guy at the beginning is clearly ignorant. Typical.
The Civil War was not over Slavery as so many would have you believe, slavery tied into the greater dispute of States Rights Vs. Federal Government.
The South had every right to secede when Lincoln took office. Lincoln campaigned on not enforcing the Supreme Court ruling (Dread Scott) in favor of the south.

ehem. "Our new government is founded upon exactly the opposite idea; its foundations are laid, its corner- stone rests, upon the great truth that the negro is not equal to the white man; that slavery subordination to the superior race is his natural and normal condition. This, our new government, is the first, in the history of the world, based upon this great physical, philosophical, and moral truth." Richard Stepehens VP of CSA in the Cornerstone Speech 1861. The fact that there was blacks who fought for the confederacy and that there are blacks today who are proud off that fact is something that goes by those retards calling themselves "antiracists" who do nothing but divide the south along racial lines with their hate!

Well Jesus will make his next move and Stonewall Jackson will be controlling a section of the army of the lord fightin and outmanuvering the enemies of his God and Savior just like he did against the Yankee invader 150 years ago!!! Deo Vindice!!
I guess these guys never heard of H.K. Edgerton have they...you know that black guy who walks thousands of miles in a confederate soldiers uniform and carries proudly the flag of Dixie...Why? you ask well because he and many others had black ancestors who fought for southern independence..maybe these guys really need some nonliberal washed history of their own...theyll never get it though...*sigh* Deo Vindice!!!
The confederacy only wanted slavery due to their need for workers. The north was totally OK with slavery and they still were very racist. Also the War of Northern Agression was only about state rights. I truelly respect MLK and African Americans and beleive that if the Southerners won that we would have won the war that the States would have been the same or even better due to the fact that slavery would have made cotton trade more lucritive.
does the MLK driver really think its racism? obviously he doesnt know the history of the war. MLK himself would have been a Confederate if you ask me.
Mr. Cooke is not only the one living in the past with his close minded views that white people hate everything that is black (Alabama Football Team as an Example) but the last guy Mr. White talking about how "we" (assuming the african american race) don't need the "White Man" because they have each other.
I saw nothing but hate on white folks through those men.
Dr.Mike---I was standing right beside you (didn't know that was you) while you filmed this beautiful event---glad you made it!
great stuff. but it seems Mr Cooke is the one living in the past. He just assumes everyone their is a biggot, doesnt like folks with black skin on a football team, and would have a problem with Obama. why doest he go and actually "talk" to them instead of just sitting by himself in the shade surronded by his own ignorance
@maskedwalnut Sir, you are exactly right. If Mr. Cooke had taken the time to just talk to some of the folks "up on the hill", he just might have come away with a whole new perspective. How sad. This is precisely what those who rule over us want him to believe so they can keep our people divided, and under their control. He needs to realize that we all want the same thing....LIBERTY!!
great video, i cant agree with Mr. Sam cooke, I was there for the honoring of my gggreat grandfather, who fought for the south, and a new nation. I'am not evil, nor do i wish bad things apon him he has the right to speak his mind. but if I am to forget my past then so must we all white , black, red and so on. thanks for sharing the video, it was well done.

It's funny how there are hundreds of people celebrating the 150th. WHITE, and BLACK. And you have this old black dude stirring up hate, and racism.
No surprise there.
