Domino Theory isnt a "complete" falsity, cold-war hardened U.S Leaders were wary of the USSR becoming any more powerful then they already were. It is not entirely crazy to suggest that if the majority of the world fell under the iron curtain that US sovernty wouldn't be challenged eventually.
A better soltution would have been to invade and annex other small countries that weren't already being supplied/trained by communist powers. (I.e South America, Africa)

I was drafted in 68 11b10 and served as a grunt with the 101st abn and at the induction center half of the draftees went to ft.polk and the rest to Paris island. The dip who said there was no draft after ww11 does not know Jack.

I'm glad the committee that Senator John McCain sat on put a stop to the vultures preying on the government after the US went through a difficult war.
This group sent the American Government on a wild goose chase. Millions of dollars was spent of US Taxpayers money. This money could have been better spent on our Veterans that returned from Vietnam.
