  • OMG so annoying... "Tall" rhymes with "small"... Yeah very funny... -.-

  • There only use to be 2 sizes. Short(small) and tall(large). So the tall use to be the largest. But then we need bigger sizes, so came ago grande making that the largest.. Then another size up... Venti meaning 20. Which the venti(now the large) is 20oz. It makes since, but people who don't know Starbucks history and are fiirst timers get confused. But you can always say small, medium, and large and the barista will understand you.

  • SO!...Tim Hortons changed their cup sizes...lol Extra small, Small, Medium, Large, and Extra Large..which I think they're extra large should be call Tall now..from what I can recall but a tall at starbucks is a..small..Right? O.o lol

  • I just caught this video because someone posted it on Facebook. Hilarious!!

  • Are u on spells of magic .com ?????

  • hahaha this is so funny!

  • Still one of my favorites :)

  • reí demasiado... jajajaja ... es verdad...

  • and to add to the confusion grande in spanish means the biggest

  • @SuperAlexrios but grande isnt the biggest actually venti is :P

  • @Chriscon20 reaaly? i tought venti is the smallest it sound like the petti in french

  • It's a story that dates to the beginning when all that was offered Short (8oz) and tall (12oz) The the "need" for coffee grew then came grande (16oz) and the Venti (20oz) ... :~>

  • hehe You are SOOOOOOOOOOOOO funn'E' : ) x

  • this is really funny, but it's not that hard. small=tall. medium=grande. large=venti. Really.. not that hard a concept. yes it would be easier saying small medium large but that's not the way we do it, and it's not gonna change.

  • lmao

  • You just did a three minute rant on what i understood in one second...

  • How about instead of being stupid about it you go with the flow and take the stick out of your ass? You know the saying "when in Rome"?

  • @EmmRawr3669 I'm assuming you're responding to the video and not some random comment seeing as how there's no "@" tag. This video was made as a lighthearted joke that satirises the nonsensical, arbitrary and perhaps pretentious names that Starbucks gives its sizes. It does so by portraying a hypothetical scenario where miscommunication and confusion occur due to these names. In other words... you're bashing a fucking joke. WHO has the stick up their ass?

  • @EmmRawr3669 Besides, arguing for an apathetic attitude of "going with the flow" is ridiculous. Commentary is one of the driving forces of a better society. If some pretentious company comes out and skews the traditional "small, medium, large" then society has a right to say "you know what, we like it better the other way". Feedback and alteration is what makes the world go around.

  • Dunno that why starbucks use Italian word

i think use at the coffee name isn't bad

but why also use at size

  • @FierceDeityXeroX use japaneese versons on akared plz!!!!!!

  • She so pretty

  • I hate when they have to correct you. It's not like they don't know what you mean.

  • I don't Starbucks out of principle..

  • short-8oz tall-12oz the orginal 2 sizes added grande-16oz later because ppl wanted more. and later venti-20oz for the same reason. and now there is trenta-30oz which you can only get iced and is only for iced coffee, iced tea, and water. so a tall was orginally a large but because people have no portion control bigger sizes were added and now its the advertised small, but you can still get short

  • another example of defacto rules in the American language . Soon Starbucks "Lingo" will be in the College dictionary Great video! watch out they may start bringing "pods" to you home like "Invasion Of the Body Snatchers" You'll have a mean hanker-in for overpriced flimsy things and golf .

  • Love this!

  • "In desperate need of coffee"

    Nobody needs coffee, fuck you.

  • I love it!

  • @uuyyuuu why yes she does. Aah, comfort zone.

  • this is like 75th time I've seen this it's so funny. Kids = Short, Tall = Small, Grande = Medium and Regular, Venti = Large and Trenta = Upper Large :-)

  • I like it :)

    Great video.

  • I've recently started at a Starbucks - I've found customers often ask for a small, medium, large and wince waiting for what they assume is a reply in which I force an Italian size outta them. but nope. Instead I act as translator. Mostly because I cannot stand the regulars who feel obligated to order bullshit specifications so they can continue to consider themselves coffee snobs(woopdfuckindoo) and partially because it was only 2 weeks ago I lacked the same knowledge.

  • LOL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • maybe you just need to learn italian...hahahah...too funny!!!!!

  • @68NELLA italian has nothing to do with tall small ecc...in italian: small = piccolo .. medium = medio .. large = grande .. upper large = we don't have it but we'd call it "molto grande" :D .. venti is twenty and trenta is thirty so i don't undestand what has venti and trenta to do with sizes...mmmhm .. i found this video cause my parents was in NY last week and fall in this small/tall situation at starbucks xD

  • @IFuckLikeABeast111 a lot of english mistakes xD fuck

  • @IFuckLikeABeast111 Yes ...that's right but I don't understand why in America they like to use Italian words while here in Italy they use English words...I mean why do they all have to complicate our lives!!!!! Ciao from Italy :)

  • @68NELLA ciao from italy? :D sono di milano nella xD ahahah

  • i love you.

  • Confusing... In a good way :)

  • Does she remind anyone else of George in Dead Like Me ?

  • @uuyyuuu YES!!!! I was just thinking that while watching this. haha

  • THIS IS THE BEST VIDEO ON YOUTUBE!! I've watched this like 30 times today ^.^ ahaha giving the cashier hell is always fun ahahaha laugh laugh

  • short, tall, grande, venti, and trenta = the order from smallest to largest. its weird and somewhat annoying i know but thats how it is just think of it like this= short in starbucks is like an extra small, tall is a small, grande is medium, venti is large, and trenta is extra large

  • OUT AND ABOUT

    HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA

  • This must be the 50th time I've watched this video, but I still think it's hilarious!

  • @nigelgst Same!!!

  • hilarious!

  • try a healthy coffee that pays

  • Starbucks language is absurd. In Zürich (Switzerland) I recently ordered "einen großen Kaffee, bitte". They served a "venti". I objected and told them that the italian word "grande" in german means "groß". They replied: "Yeah, but this is an american chain." So what? Don't americans now the meaning of the words they use? Oh well, I guess they don't.

  • @wohoha lol, venti is twenty. Large is large. In fact, tall is large and grande is Spanish for large. Venti is the only one that doesn't mean large. It's also the only one that's Italian. Congratulations, you're stupid in three languages. < P.S this is a role models film qoute not meant to be rude in any way XD

  • HILARIOUS

  • lmaooooooo

  • true that i tought that Tall is a Lage one.....kinda confuse

  • Thanks for this! They must be stopped! *hugs*

  • Great video. I show it to my MBA students. And what a wonderful collection of obtuse, humorless, moronic comments!

  • It's not a vente. It's a venti. The talls are called talls because originally that was the large size (there was a "small", which was just 8 oz). No, I don't work for Starbux, and I do have a sense of humor. I just don't think it's that hard.

  • @fiandrhi tHAT'S BECAUSE YOU, SIR/MA'AM/BOTH ARE A YUPEE! Sorry, I think the idea isn't that it's difficult, it's purely making fun of the fact that the chosen names are marketing ploys to make you feels like you are getting more for your money... *crickets* ...never mind.

  • haha, this is awesome!

  • 人格分裂~

  • Best Starbucks Video Yet!

  • haha, Im with you, If England had like a "British" cafe i would go there but theres only starbucks and other italian cafes....first pit stop i try to make when visiting U.S....DUNKIN! TALL IS TALL and SMAL IS SMALL ooooo its english i love that.

  • haha i work foro starbucks and i did that too customer and they got soo pissed i made it decaf loool

  • blonde moment?

  • Can someone tell me how many smalls and talls was mentioned in this clip? :-D

  • if that was me i would be like screw this i'm going to timmy's

  • OH, I wish we had Tim Hortons here in Dallas!!!

  • I wish he had Tim Horton's in Dallas.

  • @Hockeydaddy31 it a starbucks

  • Awe, hon even though your acting. God bless you! In the morning I'm grouchy and a ***** and would of yelled at the lady! :)

  • “Amusement for the other folks in line”!!!! I’m sure they were just thrilled to stand there and listen to that go on, while waiting for a coffee.

  • There used to not be the Venti size so it was originally, Short ( small ) tall ( medium ) and Grande ( large ) when they added the Venti they took the short off the menu. You can still order it though. so it changed to to tall being the small and so on. And to KatieSnelten, the Trenta is actually just for iced drinks and not even all of them just Iced Tea and Iced Coffee. ( That means no lattes or frappuccinos ) lame.

  • Ever heard of a shot or two:D A shot is once ounce so you could have asked for a couple of shots with a vanilla pump and tell them to add some milk is not like you have to use the fancy names like late' or grande' you could also tell her I want x ounce of this and x ounces of that and 1 pump of this...

  • Haha you just make my day!

  • ....ahaha..... zzzzzzzz

  • Great job rehashing something that has been run into the ground for the last 40 years. You are funny and original!

  • funny how a coffe add pops upp here haha

  • Get ready for the Trenta!! (for coffee only)

Consider it the coffee big gulp!

  • There's also short; it's not on the menu. For future reference.

  • on ex

  • don't you have the size of SHORT??we have it in japan.

I guess Tall is too much for me,too.

  • She should meet Foamy.XD

  • hihi you're cute..

  • I really enjoyed this! It made me laugh. Reminded me of when I first went to Starbucks. XDD

  • anyone else get here from mclarens pro anivia guide pro?

  • single = one shot of espresso; double = two shots of espresso... in your steamed milk which would make a latte [or cappuccino if you enjoy foam.]

  • idiot. they call the 12-oz cup TALL because they have another size cup, 8-oz, called SHORT. its just not on the menu because hardly anyone orders that size.

  • this just made my day : )

  • There's a penis joke in here somewhere.

  • They also have displays for dumb people like you that don't understand the sizes.

  • First of all you leave a comment saying "the three sizes for unnamed coffee shop:

tall, grande, venti", but in your video you clearly show the company. I'm no expert but I think you broke some company right laws. Second all coffee shops use the same name for their sizes as well. Third you stat that you're in dire need for coffee, and you stand and complain for who knows how long about the sizes. When the girl told you that the "tall" is a small you should just said fine.

  • this was such an awesome video!

  • I hate starbucks coffe, its bull shit, and you are funny

  • Emazing

  • they have a tall, because they also have SHORTS.

  • lol that wat funny is :P

  • Love your video, I consider a Youtube classic. I recommend it to all my friends. And you're quite gorgeous and funny, and you've got really lovely eyes and smile. I'd buy you a Tall, but the problem is you really just wanted a small...

  • he he very funny , =)

  • Must have you in my Drama Class!!!!!!!!

  • rofl you are the only gal that made me laugh so much :P cheers!

  • wtffffff hahahaha

  • Or just make it at home for one tenth the price. Starbucks is the Mc Donald's of coffee!

  • @BikZippo Nawww... Mc Donald's is the Mc Donald's of coffee! LOL :)

  • I love Starbucks. I don't understand why everyone hates it so much. If you don't understand the sizes, read the board before you order.

  • Your video is more professional looking than a lot of others. What program do you use to edit your vids? Thanks; Darrel

  • Ahhhh this just made my day! Something rather similar happened to me when I went to starbucks yesterday for the first time haahhaahha!

  • @AssholePatrol u noe u dont have to be meanner

  • lol

  • ven... ti?

  • Wow you're gorgeous, i know it has nothing to do with the video, but i think you should hear how gorgeous you are at least ten times a day :)

  • i love it xD

    love from germany

  • smart and funny video, Love it.

  • I think Starbucks is really into real estate. Musical interlude: SHUGGIE

OTIS BOOTIE COOLER listen for the tambourine.

  • ahhaha i read a similar story in my literature textbook, it looks so funny when it was acted out

  • Haha I really hope your joking around. Because I work at starbucks and we get the confused people but it usually takes them 2 seconds to figure it out. Also if they order a "small" we just say ok and ring it up as a tall. They don't need to know that we technically call it a tall!

  • And now there is Trenta for 31 oz....yeah!

  • @mdg1915 well, trenta does mean 30.

  • they r called tall, cuz there was even a smaller drink calld "short" so it made sense, short, tall, and grande was large. so yah, but venti was made, and short was erased.

  • Dearest katz20two...

That was the most hilarious take on StarBucks I have ever seen or heard...

Folks, all she wanted was something 'small', after all.

    You are adorable!

    Barry Willie Black

  • This video never loses its charm...

  • Easy way to figure it out...where ever you are....look up at the menu. So that's how you order. It didn't need to be this drawn out. We all get it that Starbucks is overpriced...but we still go. There's no use in wondering why they don't call a small a small. It's just not. Move along, pay for your overpriced liquid crack (As I love to call it) and let the next schmuck....get theirs.

  • this was frusterating.

  • a ha! made me giggle!! Well done :P

  • You forgot the "short," size. The reason a tall is the smallest size listed now is it wasn't always the small. It used to just be short and tall. Now short isn't on the menu but still available (at corporate stores at least).

  • never get sick of it

  • what a retarted bitch jus say tall and stop waisting time in line!

  • Both the girl and the barista are retarded, imho. Barista being a stubborn donkey not willing to call a size as it's clearer for customer (not everyone must know starbucks's size names) and customer being a complete idiot. I guess you made each other's day :)

  • @suppvee go suck your mothers cock like I said before u ppl can't order a coffee right so u feel socially awkward to order anything and you make up an excuse that they are trying to be unique and they suck... I guess our country sucks cuz they are trying to be unique as well. I'm done arguing with u low IQ ppl go buy some foldgers or Dunkin donuts coffee you cheap ignorant fucks

  • @suppvee Good on you!, richard21solova obviously cannot undetstand the beauty of the U.S :P Coming from an Irish guy with a British mother and father with parents from Ireland/America :P

  • I love this video as u can tell by my username. I'm a big fan of Starbucks.

  • OMG i loooooove this video i watch it alot!

  • I keep coming back to this, and love it every time. When i'm in an ornery mood, i explain to Starbucks' staff that we speak English in the USA, not Italian. And anyway, if they wanted to be consistent, they'd use an Italian word for their smallest size.

  • @suppvee yeah cuz ur brain can't handle big words therefore u think any other language is hard and u want to do everything the easy way cuz all ur IQs are low as fuck

  • @richard21solava you are such a twat! Your stereotyping soooooo frickin hard!

  • @kpy33 and the USA isn't trying to be unique?

    Usa-miles

    Rest of the world-kilo meters

    USA-pounds

    Rest of world-kilograms

    USA- grades a-f

Rest of the world- grades 1-10

    Ect ect ect

Don't tell me me Starbucks is trying to be unique ur all just mad cus ur brian can't pronounce little words and u know Starbucks taste good but u all look like idiots ordering there.... Go suck your mothers cock u fag

  • ive worked for starbucks for 5 years. and everything there is just a complicated name with complicated descriptions. and some of these baristas behind the counter are complete asses. not even sure about what they are talking about themselves. i, a barista, can completely understand where she comes from. i, also human, can associate with other people and call our sizes small, medium and large. and all drinks have difficult names. all drinks are the same. just a different flavor. its funny really

  • Oh and btw katz20two I bet you over reacted when she corrected you you started swearing and throwing a fit just so u can get something for free. United states is so cheap now. They want something free all of the fucking time

  • @richard21solava Shut the fuck up, you crazy foreigner. Starbucks just needs to stop trying to be "unique" by using 3 DIFFERENT languages in their coffee sizes! For Christ sake, why can't they just have Small, Medium, and Large? How hard is that? Fuck off dude.

  • Really is it hard to order at Starbucks???? Are all of you to lazy to use your head Tall-small=English Grande-medium=Spanish Viente-large=Italian Use your head for once USA!!! Same thing with Rio grande-large river you idiots say RIO GRAND WTF?!?!?? Los Angeles-the angels U say LAS ANJALIS Use your damn head it only takes 1 sec to pronounce it right
  • lol, i know exactly how she feels....too complicated !!!!

  • @ixy1987 oh do you know? fucking dickhead! LMAO.. you seem like a bitch

  • @GrimeDaiIy Wow... overreact much?

  • A:Hi, get me a small penis

    B:Ok, a tall penis

    A:Uh, no I want a small penis

    B:Small is tall

    A:Small is Tall?

  • Ok, so I am too lazy to look through all of the comments so I am going to state what someone should have already stated... It's not VENT-EH.... It's VENT-EE.... Why do people think that the 'i' in VENTI makes the 'E' sound? I just don't understand...

Also, those of you that think Starbucks is over-priced... it isn't... in fact, statistically it is cheaper than most. YOU, YES YOU, just like to support the 'mom and pop' (local) shops. Just admit that and we can move forward. Thanks!

  • You look like Sutton Foster and I love it! :D

You're awesome too by the way. :]

  • a joke thats already been made time and time again....very origiinal

  • No dumbass, there is also short...

  • : DD lol : DD

  • tall is small and smallis tall???? WTH!!wow i olny speak american

  • Small, tall, vente, grande, etc. One of many reasons I no longer go to Starbucks, or to any coffee shop that doesn't use "small, medium, large."

    Nice video, good work!

  • This reminds me of a "Who's On First?" Haha very funny

  • so then... is a small a tall?

  • hahahah what a big aventure to buy a cup of coffee !!

  • Can people that type "LOL" elaberate on what they are "LOL"ing about.

This chick put alot of time and effort into this video report. Typing LOL to sum up the whole video is kind of ... i don't know. Lazy.

Everything from hairstyle change to scarf to moving the starbucks cup farther and closer to sim cup sizes was very entertaining. All for 3 minutes and 16 seconds of fun youtube entertainment. Anyway in closing..... "LOL"?

  • lol

  • Grande is Big. Baseball's biggest hit is "Grand" Slam.

    Jack in the box's Taco Grande's are huge. R.I.P. Jack's (in N.Y.)

I Hate starbucks.. well hate is a strong word. I dis-like them.

Isn't Venti like the # "20" in italian?

I think its funny that people think starbucks is using fancy words...lol

tall, grande and venti are not fancy..just annoy enough to start this conversation.

the WB just changed the name of one of it's shows to Tallville

    Hey Katz20two....good job.

  • HAHA Lol.

  • "grande" means Big in Portuguese

  • The sizes really aren't that hard to learn...they're are only FOUR of them! Not hard, people...

  • lol this is good :) Thank you for sharing!

  • ive never had a starbucks employee correct me for saying small, theyre just like whatever, pay me da money.

  • Hahahaha you are so funny, lovely!

  • Grande is Big in spanish...

  • JEEZ people BIG DEAL SMall is called Tall. THere were only 2 sizes when Starbucks was first introduced and then came larger sizes but Tall still kept its name.

It was SHORT and Tall then added grande and venti.

    thats all.

  • Starbucks is stupid, with all their fancy words.

  • For all of you on here that cannot just take the humor in this as it is without being so anally obnoxious you should not even waste your time commenting. There are those of us that can still see the humor without over analyzing it (as you are all seemingly great it) and have a laugh. Katz--I love what you did. I love Starbucks (There all the time). Ignore all these ppl who have nothing better to do than to tear others down. God bless! YEP I SAID GOD BLESS to all you athesists!

  • its really NOT rocket science, are you stupid? have you yet to figure out that different words can mean the same thing or that the same word can mean different things.

    Short - 8 oz.

    Tall - 12 oz.

    Grande - 16 oz.

    Venti - 20 oz.

    again NOT rocket science!

  • @fluffytrain This was simply someone having fun.

  • @fluffytrain actually tall and grande means kinda the same... the idea is that whatever you ask for will sound as if you were asking for a big product (brand and product) those three words are the result of pure and very well developed marketing strategy :D

  • lol. I wok t starbucks...an even have to laugh at this! If somone comes in and wants a smal....I understand and dont argue. That is stupid
