The newest episode of Curiosity (Can you live forever? with Adam Savage) touches on a lot of the same topics, and more! They even have some spider nanos :)
HE SHOULD HAVE NEVER INJECTED HIMSELF with those Nanobot things. He should have Just dealt with the Cancer like a normal person. IT'S NOT THE DOCTOR'S FAULT EITHER. He did it to himself.
this gave me the creeps the extra eyes, the gills, that creepy looking rib cage reminded me of a dream i had when i was a kid like the same thing was happening 2 me i was spooked 4 a month and i had this wierd itchy feeling inside my head and body i was fucked up cause it felt like something was wrong me i went to the doctor cause i felt funny like something was crawling inside me and that show brought back memories take this show off please
I remember watching shows like these & twilight zone when I was little, brings back great memories, I remember watching a show about a young man who sees a leprechaun & gets told, something along the lines of, he will be wealthy if he buys some car instead of using it for college, he's promised girl & family turn against him for the decision, long time after when he's alone and very old, he gets discovered with his junk antiques. Anyone know the show?
@TheUltraNinja I believe it was an episode of Amazing Stories. I can't remember the title, but I believe that Mark "Luke Skywalker" Hamill starred in it.
I don't think it's a matter of laziness. When you're operating on a molecular level, small, autonomous machines would excel at precise and delicate tasks as compared to a cumbersome human hand. Well-made and well-programmed machines will always have a step up on humans if only for their significantly-reduced margin of error.
@saguy98 It's long been speculated that if machines were to develop a consciousness, they would likely outlive us by millions of years, or more! They don't need air to breathe, they don't get get their fuel from organic matter and their physical composition is much more durable. I suppose that's the basis behind many of our science fiction movies (terminator, the matrix, etc).
@Perilous3D if they develope consciousness they are subjectable to the same laws we have put upon ourselves , i don't mean to sound as a doom prophet (at least no more than you :p) But if machines develope a consciousness, they become like us. And we'll need to either learn to treat them as such or die trying ( or die trying to stop them ). Either way we're dying.
are we humans really that lazy that we have to make modifications on our body using nano bots instead of using manual machines which we can operate with our hands or something?
You kidding me? Have you seen what these nanobots can do??!? They could have easily grown him another, more durable head... and one that's bot-friendly too =/
I feel sorry for the girl he fucked...now she has NANO AIDS!

Couldnt he have finished the control software for the nanobots then inject him with new ones to attack the old ones hmmmmmm

@Perilous3D Agreed. The further we develop technology - the better they get, maybe one day, they will overpower even the human mind.
