This is a good rock song but I really dislike the intro. It has nothing to do with the rest of the song. Same thing with Jet Airliner. These intros just don't seem to fit. They sound like attempts at progressive rock but then just lead into straight forward rock. Steve Miller and company should have just left them out.

Figured this out in the early 80's, but the guitar riff, and harmonics happen because the guitar is not detuned, but uptuned to an E. Listen to the harmonics at 2:14, and the rest is easy. Your standard D string goes to E, G to A, B to C#, and there it is! Now you kids can cheat like Keith Richards did on all of those Stones tunes! (Brown Sugar, etc.)

Book of dreams is a great album.Don't get why this is being compared to Rush though.This is 'Good Time's Rythm and Blues' (more comparable to maybe Fleetwood Mac) and Rush is 'Prog Rock'. Don't get me wrong I like both.

Real classic rock style. However, Rush is more comparable to U2, Van Halen, etc. The bands of the Post-Punk age.
