    rICH

  • The men of the 82nd Airborne who participated in the Second World War were giants among men. What they did, what they endured, what they accomplished is beyond imagination. Airborne!

  • My Dad jumped into Normandy on D-Day...he passed at age 93 last year and had served 30 years...thanks for the video!

  • I was young with the 82nd. I was 3/505. In RVN ., I was 101st.

    Fuck You leg.

    r

  • This video was not the only tribute 2 the 82nd , but MOH: airborne as well

  • 82nd Airborne has the most beautiful arm patches of all airborne

  • Song and the vidéo please?

  • jedirifleman = paratrooper = 82nd Abn Div 1982-1986

  • Thank-you for serving your country....!!!!

  • The 82nd Airborne Division is the only airborne division left in the U.S. and have been given the title and task of being "America's Guard of Honor."

  • not true, theres the 173rd airborne and the 75th

  • I GUESS YOU CAN'T READ airplanepilot22.

the 173rd and the 75th arent divisions are they??? batallions and brigades are not divisions.

  • My pop was in the 82nd but he was only a kid when WWII happened, he served in the 50s

  • 82nd and 101st, it doesn't matter, they where both heroes, both divisions, all men, I'm from holland, and I will say to all para's: thanks, I hate racism, facism and sadism, so I really love it, wath they have done, I will never forget that, I stood at the place where more then 9 thousand heroes have been buried, heroes, all of them, I stood at the place where the 82nd and 101st division landed, thanks USA.

  • i can speak only:

"who is the beast? 82° airborne!!!!!"

  • Beautiful video.

My Granddaddy's cousin was 504th, Co. C. He pulled Pathfinder duty for Normandy and was KIA 15 June, 1944 at St. Mere-Eglise.

  • P.S. the 82nd are not better just because they had two more jumps... when the plans were made for the jumps 82nd had more guys ready to go than the 101st. The 82nd were the first actual divison to be give the title "Airborne" thats the only reason why they had two more jumps...they had more guys ready.

and the only reason Im an 82nd "fan" is because my great uncle served with them.

  • 82nd Airborne, 101st Airborne...their both the same..who really cares about the statistics?...seriously guys. I doubt those men fought in WWII so we could be sitting here arguing over something like this. I'll admit Im huge into the 82nd Airborne, but I have a ton of 101st stuff too. 82nd and the 101st were BOTH considered the elite of WWII. So lets give them both credit.

  • ppl need to stop fighting about 101st. and 82nd. differences.

1.)just becuase ppl do 101st collecting/reenacting dosnt make them easy company wannabees.

2.)who cares how many combat jumps a company took. everyone still jumped and everyone went through hell.

3.)everyone who fought in ww2 was HERO! 82nd. airborne, 101st., 17th., 11th., infantry, marines, navy, airforce. everyone fought in hell and everyone had friends die and everyone deserves to be remembered!

  • is it true that the 82nd airborne had heavy casualties during d-day?

  • Very heavy casualties

  • The first airborne unit to jump into combat was the 509th Infantry. 2 jumps in Algeria, 1in Tunisia, 1 in Italy, 1 in Southern France. After the battle of the Bulge, the 509th was disbanded and their personel sent to other airborne units. Just imagine, how many guys actually made the 5 jumps with the 509th then got transferred to other units to continue to jump? There may be guys that have 6,7 maybe 8 combat jumps in WWII. And I'm not even counting jumps after WWII like Korea and Vietnam.

  • FUCKING NICE VID love it ALL THE WAY!!!!!

  • sorry if i afended anybody i didn't mean its just sounds loke your making fun of the 101st because they only had less jumps. so your not a victim o.k cause u said somethin mean about 101st airborne so.

  • Anybody who served in WW2 is a hero. The airborne went through the same things besides having 4 jumps like the 505th. Every company was an easy company.

  • Don´t forget!

  • excellent job, thanks to Band of Brothers so many people look over the other Airborne divisions of WWII, with my favorite, the 82nd, being one of them

  • I think the music is from the movie American Beauty.

  • nice video again if have more stuff find from my grandpa

  • what the song call

  • awesome video!

  • Every Airborne division had his "Easy Company", in every company where heroes. Every man/woman who fought in WW2 or did his part is a heroe in my eyes.

  • a bit gay, but yes thats a good way to look at it.

  • Every battalion had it's Easy.

  • what the hell are u talkin about the 505th of the 82nd jumped into Sicily, Italy, Normandy, and Holland. 2 more jumps than easy of the 101st.

  • Not saying i dont like 82,but you cant say they are better because they did 2 more jumps, either way, they are still heroes, and shall remain the same, always.

  • oh so they're better because of 2 more jumps. Thats just like saying im better than you when your not so don't bragg about youself it makes y ou look stupid.

  • nice
