@nickpafras to defend behind walls is way easyer than attack outside walls even if you got 100 times bigger army at vienna was the same they didnt got in to the fort that's why they have withdrawn

@altaipower You outnumbered the Byzantine Army by more tyhan 10 to 1 in 1453. Those are basically impossible odds with a poorly equipped untrained Army like Byzantine Army had at the time.

@AegeanKing your right but to you think that all of the 200000 man fought at the battle and the city was attacked only with cannons for a long time because the walls of constantinople were great and big and a small army attacked

@AegeanKing actually 100 Janissaries was to be sended first into the castle to open the gates and poof they killed arround one tohusand men and managed to open the gates
