@roydied15 I tried the marlboro snus and the bags are too thick...and too dry. Skoal snus comes very close to the swedish brands as far as moisture content but are too large. Now that General is available in the states, I will keep with it since it is superior in my opinion.

If you are trying to quit smoking start with something strong like Thunder Extra Strong or Jakobssons Strong it knocks the craving right out. Order some regular to they are serious when they say strong I can't use strong portions all day and I smoked a lot

I prefer the general white, general original and general loose. theyre the best ones when you want to snus some of the best snus products you can get. and it is not as hard as it seems to bake a loose snus, you just need to find the way you bake it best. i prefer that you start in the edge and start bake. takes some time but training gives results

morti683 have you used both snus and cigarettes? Snus doesn't smell enough for a whole room to notice it, it doesn't give anyone second hand cancer, and compared to buying cigarettes in most US states its more like half the price rather than "more expensive"

The first snus I tried was Skruf Stärk (Skruf strong). That was my first time trying nicotine. If you've only got the stronger versions dont hold it in to long you will feel like shit. About 2 weeks later and about.. 3/4 of a box later I can keep it in for over 2 hours without any problems, you get used to the high nicotine level really fast

Yeah starting with Skruf Stark was a bad idea, especially if you didn't smoke or anything before that. I started with Skruf Stark and Nick & Johnny, but I used snus to quit smoking, so my body was used to the nicotine. The stark portion snus really does pack a bunch, huh? ;)

Smoking tobacco contains nitrosamines witch are (I think) the most carcinogenic chemical compound in tobacco, Snus however contains a lot less nitrosamines because of a process in the making of the scandinavian snus...

Snus does not cause oral cancer. Snus does not cause cancer of any kind, in fact it lowers blood pressure. In fact, the Swedish FDA recently removed the "Snus can cause mouth cancer" warning on cans and replaced it with "Snus can cause gum disease." The cancer link is false.

Snus is as dangerous as coffee. Brush your teeth well and floss and you should notice no ill effects.

True, all tobacco use carries some risk, but so does breathing air. Snus is as safe as you can get from tobacco.

there are no organisms that cause cancer! its not even the nicotine. its a class n nitrosame that is tobacco specific... not some bug or virus.

As I undertsand it from reading soem studies on this issue, noone is saying the organisms cause cancer directly. Rather, the organisms break down compounds in the tobacco that become carcinogens.
