@STRIMIX: Not entirely true because one texture with only one channel more is less in MB than two textures with together 6 instead of 4 channels. So less MB are put into the memory making it even easier to run.
@RealDaveTheFreak Thats not what i meen, i mean the rendering out of the wall ingame! so putting the geometry forwards so it stands out or is this not similar to bump maps?
As far as I remeber, you are able to inset a displacement map, so you can just add the height map directly there, of course this saves some space, but it cost some work.
One last thing, the nvidia photoshop plugin is better, but harder, atleast that's what I've discovered.

doesn't a height map like this cost allot of calculating memory for the computer and makes the map very heavy to run?
